  1. It's 86 and sunny in Miami Beach on a Sunday and I live in an oceanfront condo. I have better things to do than mollify your curiosity because you were proven wrong again.😂 This goes to future cap, not past cap. Try and think before you type.
  2. Miles Sanders, Jason Kelce, Brandon Brooks, Lane Johnson, Dallas Goeddert, Fletcher Cox, Brandon Graham, Darius Slay, Anthony Harris, Eric Wilson. I repeat, there is talent on this squad.
  3. That extra week means increased TV revenues which translates into a higher cap which translates into higher salaries. Do you honestly believe this would have been approved if the players did not receive a benefit from the extra week?
  4. I disagree my friend. We have a new coaching staff installing a new system. The Eagles players will be drowning in 2021 - and it didn't have to be that way. The management decided not to blow up the team. There is talent on this squad.
  5. I cannot think of a more loyal and rabid fan base than fans of the Philadelphia Eagles. Most of the fan base have families to support and go to work every day, often under less than ideal circumstances. The players just effectively gave the fans the collective finger. NFL football just got a lot less interesting in my book. https://theeagleswire.usatoday.com/2021/04/18/philadelphia-eagles-nfl-nflpa-voluntary-workouts-boycott/ Players won’t be required to attend team workouts until mandatory minicamp begins in June, with all OTAs and prior sessions being completely voluntary.
  6. Claiming mistaken identity - that the attacker was a different person. We weren't there and don't know what happened one way or the other.
  7. Keyes will not be remembered for his play on the field, but rather, for being the consolation prize for missing out on the rights to draft OJ Simpson. Eagles were well position to have the first overall pick that year having lost their first 11 games. Of course they won the next 2 out of 3, had a 2-12 season, and lost the rights to the first overall pick to the Bills who finished 1-12-1. The rest is history - the Bills drafted OJ Simpson, and the Birds drafted Leroy Keyes who had a very mediocre career. https://www.nbcsports.com/philadelphia/eagles/leroy-keyes-eagles-1st-round-pick-1969-has-died
  8. That was one year. All of the other years BB did not have Brady, but for a single year in Cleveland, he had a losing season.
  9. I'm a big fan of these one year deals. They're great from a cap standpoint. The players usually pan out more often than not because they have to give all if they want to hit paydirt with a big signing bonus and long term deal. And the team gets a chance to evaluate the player and see if there's a long term fit.
  10. My guess is that Flacco was signed in part because of his familiarity with the Ravens offense and the success it has had with Lamarr Jackson. It could be that Flacco could be helpful in assisting the new coaching staff to some degree with its install of the new offense.
  11. This shows why civil allegations by politician lawyers are to be taken with a grain of salt. None of us knows what did or did not happen here, but it sure smells like there is an element of grandstanding by Buzbee. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2021/03/30/tony-buzbee-wont-provide-information-regarding-deshaun-watson-to-houston-police-department-after-all/
  12. The benchmarks have nothing to do with games played - they are measured by number of snaps: 75% total, or 70% and a playoff appearance
  13. More like they feel better about Hurts plus who ever else they can draft in the first round versus Jones, Lance or Fields minus Hurts and the other player they could have taken.
  14. Right or wrong, I think we place too much importance on tweets from beat reporters. Of course the Eagles are unsure about Hurts. But he is a young player with potential, flashed at times on the field as a rookie, and handled himself well in the locker room - so since they really have nothing else going right now at the QB position, he's the flavor of the moment. Don't think for a second that the Eagles won't go hard for another QB if Hurts can't get it done.
  15. Concrete Charlie wasn't such a bad no. 1 pick at linebacker. Bil Bergey cost the team two no. 1s and then some.
  16. Injury is much more likely than suckage behind that OL and with that coaching staff.
  17. Did he play 75% in 2018? No. 2020? No. Barely reached 75% in 2017. Means three out of his five years in the league, he missed significant playing time.
  18. Thanks - but the post I was responding to omitted the 22 first rounder
  19. I'm expecting an undersized pass rusher who was selected because he has a great "motor" and who still would have been there at the end of the first round
  20. Patrick Mahomes isn't mobile? Russell Wilson isn't mobile? John Elway wasn't mobile? Terry Bradshaw wasn't mobile? Roger Staubauch wasn't mobile?
  21. Correct - however, the post I was responding to neglected that analysis. To just say moving back is worth points without factoring in the extra first is incomplete.
  22. How can the difference between 6 and 12 be in OUR favor when we traded DOWN. It's in Miami's favor, not ours.
