  1. It's kind of a shame because EasyEaglez can make some good rational posts as long as the topic isn't Hurts or Wentz.
  2. I won't be surprised if the next few years are similar to 2000-2005. AFC dominant, 3 or 4 good NFC teams. Many regard that period as great, I'm ambivalent. Is that better than being a Browns or Jags fan for 5 years? Sure but I view it as having a girlfriend who is willing to go to 3rd base but no further. Hurts may turn into McNabb 2.0 and many here worship McNabb. The lone Lombardi trophy is not from that era but there is one NFC championship trophy. I guess it depends on how you define "successful".
  3. This is going to be an issue with the mega QB contracts. One "Super Star" (eh, not really) with 21 supporting cast either on rookie contracts or just not that good to be able to fit under the cap. Yes Howie can play games with the cap and he's very good at it but eventually the time comes to Pay the Piper.
  4. Glad you were able to fix it. There are a couple things I've found with Firefox (on Linux but I'm not sure it matters.) Try opening problem pages in private mode. If that doesn't work, try Troubleshooting Mode. On my install it's under "Help". I won't do these unless I trust the page. I also run noscript and Ublock Origin. It's freaking amazing how many scripts from how many sites a page like ESPN.com runs.
  5. Jimmy G needs to call Jason Peters for tips about how to re-negotiate a contract.
  6. Top 5? NFC is kinda weak so maybe but I doubt it. As you say, tonight will be indicative. When they almost lost to the Lions I was pretty doubtful but it turns out the Lions may no longer be the butt of jokes.
  7. Wasn't he Wentz' successor? I thought so, could be wrong though
  8. My audio and video were perfect, couldn't tell the difference from broadcast. OTOH I'm using the Amazon streaming app in Tivo so wired all the way. I found the commentary second rate but I don't care about stats and fantasy which may influence my opinion.
  9. I don't remember that but believe it. P.T. Barnum was right.
  10. There were no race riots during those years. Yeah, I know they were "Protests". Some were.
  11. Get used to it. It'll probably be around for years. He may get marginally better but I doubt run first decreases much.
  12. You certainly can't prevent 100% of injuries but giving yourself up before the D gets to you should reduce the likelihood some. Watch somebody like A. Rodgers when he runs. He goes down before the D can get a lick in. Then watch Wentz or McNabb during his early seasons. They might get an extra yard or two but they might pay dearly for it. Donovan eventually figured it out, I don't know if Wentz has or will.
  13. I agree that the NFL could benefit from some sort of farm club system. Players not from a big school program could use a transition.
