Cheesteakitis Posted February 21 Posted February 21 The niners have came out and said Hargrave will be a post june 1 cut at the start of free agency. After making good money on his contract leaving I would be more then happy to bring him back for a year or two on a low to modest contract. https://bleacherreport.com/articles/10150171-49ers-javon-hargrave-to-be-released-john-lynch-open-to-new-contract-in-free-agency 1
UK_EaglesFan89 Posted February 21 Posted February 21 Low to modest hell yeah! He took a pay day after a great year and we can’t blame him for that. Can you imagine him alongside Carter? Jeez! I mean he would be an upgrade over Williams I think.

I mean he did tear his tricep in week 3 and spend the rest of the season on IR so he should be rested up and ready to go for 2025 1

Hargrave's forte was interior pass rush, and he's over 30. There will be better, cheaper and younger options to replace Milton Williams.

Howie is in the market for comp picks this offseason and since Hargrave doesn’t count against that it increases his odds… He is 32 sometime this month I didn’t look if his birthday was already or still to come.. He just got paid a good amount of money by the 49ers (he restructured last year turning a big chunk into a bonus to save them cap) he also doesn’t have a ring so I feel it’s a decent chance he would be very interested in coming back.. it’s a deep Dt draft sign one and draft one.

A good rookie is preferential right now. This team is going to need a lot of young guys to play, just like last year.

Agreed you might add guys who are at the end of free agency for the vet minimum or slighlty higher but you're not adding any early wave guy even at 5-6 million
