bobeph
Honestly, just curious. I am thinking yes. I have seen many non-political friends and family start voicing their opinions, and it’s not pro-Biden.

Dave Moss
Yes, Trump, who cries all day on twitter like a baby with a wet diaper, has a "silent majority” backing him. Does that really sound believable??
NOTW
They were more silent in 2016, but more open since then.
Boogyman
I think it does. But I also think there are 2 silent factions. Last elections one side lay dormant and overconfident. I think enough people on both sides think Trump is so ish that he is done. Hopefully NY locks him up. It would be an amazing feat of justice for a fat cat like him to exploit his whole life only to die in prison. Wishful thinking but I guess I am hopelessly romantic
Dave Moss
The Silent Majority is a term Nixon used in the 1968 election. But the Dems splintered over the Vietnam War. That’s why they lost that year. Back then the Democrats in Congress were actually pretty split between hawks and doves. Also the protests at the Democratic Convention were pretty crazy because the Chicago police attacked the protesters and beat the hell out of them. Paul852
I just don't see Trump gaining voters. He has peaked and that's why I think he'll lose.
bobeph
Maybe it’s just where I live then. People around here are losing their sheet. Let’s face it, first step to Socialism is getting a weirdo like Harris in the WH.

TEW
In all seriousness, there isn't in the Nixonian sense, but I do believe the majority of Americans today are pretty fed up with both parties and the different brands of insanity they bring. I don't think a third party stands a chance to break the political duopoly, and I think the chance to save the Republic has passed.

Every election we hear about the 2A and abortion and nothing ever happens of serious consequence. If Sanders or Warren were picked I'd sit this one out. I don't mind Harris.
