Dallas is a good venue for him to rediscover his deep ball. Last two weeks have not been optimum conditions for slinging the ball. NONE of the QBs on both sides of the ball had much success. We are rightfully crediting the defense for slowing down the other teams. But the weather conditions were a contributing factor too. Hurts was affected as much as Love and Goff were.

Only in Philly! 8-2, beaten our main NFC rivals, our D looks potentially the best in the NFL, and we are yet to play our best football. And yet every week, every game there’s reports and players are not happy or players are speaking out. I’m sure there are frustrations with the offense and pass game. I’d put good money on those frustrations starting with Jalen himself!

Hurts is sacrificing those 2022 numbers and improvements on them as he gets better in order to fit a Saquon and D team that wins.

When he has to pass he can put up a perfect passer rating.

He put up 387 and 2 TDs vs KC in a Gannon can't stop anyone 10 point loss. he had 380 when crushing AJ's old Titans.

He stepped off the field with 11:34 left to play and Minshew led the last 2 drives. You think 450 or 500 was out of his reach?

You think he can't throw for 5000 yards and 40 TDs on an 8-9 team that constantly throws and plays bad D?

Because some talking head on ESPN said so? Try thinking for yourself instead.

Okay we need to stop this. There plenty of times he needed to pass and doesn't deliver.

Please stop with this nonsense.

They are near last in offense my dude. LOL

Their offense wasn't near last in 2024 (or 2022). They are basically running out the same players as 2024 (minus Becton). Of course the injuries to the OL are contributing to the struggles. But the lack of any creativity in play design and play calling is huge. Can Hurts be better? Sure. I'm just tired of this topic coming up every f&#^$^$ing year.

OP needs a kick in the nuts for posting this. P

I posted this because of the "drama" that of course continues to run wild and could ultimately take its toll on this team mentally. But moreso due to the focus being on Hurts. Of course, the source of the drama is always the big question mark...as brksmn pointed out, this seems to be on the coattails of Diana Russini's "report" and we all know her main source is AJ Brown.<_<

There have been leaders in sports who were said to be stoic, kept to themselves, weren't hanging out with teammates and weren't there to make friends, they were all business. I'm not saying Hurts is elite, but as a leader and mentality he's like Kobe, Jordan, Brady, these guys that are obsessed with winning and their teammates often don't get along with them because they're not chill enough.

We went from McNabb where everyone complained he was too goofy, smiled, danced, did too many antics and wasn't serious enough, to Hurts who is too serious, stoic and doesn't smile enough.

Yes there can be balance, but people are also human. Look at our two WRs. Smitty is quiet and all business, not a typical "diva" WR at all. Lane Johnson is pretty quiet, Mailata is vocal and jokes around. Brandon Graham a huge trash talker, Quinyon doesn't say much lets his play on the field do his talking. Some guys start podcasts, some are quiet and keep to themselves.

People are allowed to have different personalities.

I don't need Jalen to put up big passing numbers. I need to see the wins. With that being the case to me it looked like the team was forcing the ball to AJ and I didn't see a guy going all out to make plays. So, something will have to give this offseason. We need a new OC, or a new QB, or a new WR 2, because it doesn't seem like these three can coexist anymore. I wish they would get an OC like Fangio. An older guy who has no interest in becoming a head coach.

Ultimately, yes. But unfortunately, for the rest of this season, looks like we're pretty much stuck with Patullo absent a drastic development. Keep in mind that the last two weeks were played under challenging weather conditions for both games, and every quarterback had crappy numbers - Love, Goff and Hurts.

And the weather forecast for Dallas this Sunday? As of date of posting, thunderstorms - high 70, low 58. Should be another made for Fangio slopfest. I'll take it.

I’d feel better about these slopfest games if the run game was preforming better than it has. The holes aren’t there this season. The interior line isn’t as good and even the two tackles have struggled. Barkley somehow looks like he’s just about to break one, yet at the same time gets tackled by the first guy far more than he used to. It’s almost like the entire offense aged 5 years. Going to the SB must really be tough on the body.

I imagine the roof will be closed then ... no?

That’s my guess. Weather is a great equalizer, and Dallas has a much better chance of winning in idea conditions.

I'm not sure why people are questioning why Barkley looks slow and doesn't have the same burst. Ummm he was run into the ground last year all the way through the super bowl. Pretty much every 2,000 yard back struggled the following year with finding running room because teams are stacking the box or they get nagging injuries or both.

The box is stacked, plus the wear and tear, the predictable play calling, and the banged up offensive line are all factors. This team is bad on third down, because of penalties, loss yards of first and second down as well. There seems to be so many factors as to why this offense if struggling, but even more than the skilled players the offensive line has been poor all season.

Absolutely and I agree with all that, those are definitely all factors as well. They all look tired and just going through the motions on offense minus a few players.

It is difficult to gauge the offense on the last two games due to the weather being a factor as well. I hope this lack of offense doesn't cost them in the end, because right now this is a championship quality defense carrying an overpaid offense.

They are near last in offense is the kind of thing a propaganda zombie would say.

ESPN told me they was bad. D-Gunn says Jalen is mean!

Not a single original thought expressed.

They are 25th in yards (yards gets you NOTHING) Goff had 88 more yards than Hurts on Sunday, you want him instead?

That's 21.8% away from last which is in no way near 32.

They are 16th in points per game having played the toughest schedule in the league against 7 of the best 12 defenses. Two of the games were in crappy weather.

If AJ puts any effort into catching a perfect 61 yard TD then they are 9-1 on merit. AJ is a weirdo so lets blame Hurts.

16 is half of 32 which is nowhere near last.

They did this with an O-line in a blender and one of the 5 worst OCs of the 2000s.

The Eagles are 5-2 this year when the other team scores 20+

Getting carried by the D is awesome. Its happened 3 times all season. (I expect it will happen more but the offense and special teams gave them time to get right)

No one thinks they don't need to be better on offense.

Only trolls think Hurts is bad or a problem.

DVOA has the Eagles at 6th overall 11th on offense and 9th on defense.

I expect the D to go top 5 and the offense to go top 7 or so.

doesn't that suck?

The only reason the Eagles are not 30th in yards and 24th in points is Hurts, AJ, DeVonta, and Saquon making up their own plays or running scramble drills outside the brain dead OC offense.

FWIW, AJ now has 3 ZERO balls on deep passes this year.

He takes an easy TD or a 50/50 ball and does not bother with full effort.

The 61 yard TD is all on him. Lets give him 1 of the other 2 if he actually tried.

Add another 110 yards and 2 TDs an sad little pouty boy is at 567 and 5 instead of 457 and 3

Its not that Hurts can't get him the ball (he's done it for 3 years in a row), its that in 2025 he is not good enough to get the ball.

Oh noes! Rock Ya Sin is hand fighting me! This is too hard! Better slow it down!

You'd have a better shot with Freddie Mitchell on those 3 plays and I mean 46 year old Freddie.

AJ is great when his brain and his body are functional. I'm not sure about either in 2025.

This offense should scheme through DeVonta Smith and Dallas Goedert. AJ gets the ball if he earns it by full effort and getting open.

Rock Ya Sin was locking AJ down most of the night. Even the passes he caught he had very little separation. I'm not sure when people are going to realize he has lost a stop.

Bottom line these reports aren’t good. They aren’t good and they aren’t helping. And ultimately if our season doesn’t end with a Lombardi then we are all going to think this played a real part in that. So the team need to do whatever they need to do to sort this and move on.
