Carson Wentz discussion: no new topics about Wentz.

They do that by drafting better. Simple as that. It doesn't matter what QB is under center, they HAVE to start picking better players. Eventually they're going to give another QB a big contract and if Howie is still picking trash like JJAW that QB will want to be out as well.

That’s not changing, and for the record that 5 win season the other guy won 4 games plays a playoff game with the same guys. I agree Howie absolutely needs to do better in the draft, but we all know Lurie isn’t going to move Howie. Also it should be noted that drafting well isn’t what got Wentz that double digit win season either. That draft wasn’t that great.

When was the last time Howie had a banger of a draft? Has he ever? The one pro-bowl player he has drafted since 2014(?) is now gone...its F'ing 2021!!!! Since Lurie clearly has a blind spot for Howie, I'm about to board the Lurie needs to sell the team train.

This ish is ridiculous, honestly.

What reported Bears offer? They didn't make an offer because the Wentz camp made it clear he didn't want to play there.  No way any team offers a bag of deflated footballs for a $34 million a year disgruntled QB.

This one. And several others.

The last fairly decent draft was 2013 ... first year under Kelly, before he won the power struggle to get personnel control.  Johnson, Ertz, and Logan with first 3 picks.

Yes, I know. That doesn't mean they didn't make an offer as was being reported two weeks ago.

We’ll never know what to believe.  Did they make an offer?  Did they not?  It really doesn’t matter now ... the deal is done and Wentz is finally gone.  Time to start looking to the future.  🙂

People really think Natalie Egenolf has sources? That girl does not have that job for her acumen or contacts.

Except for 2018 when he set the Eagles single season completion percentage record, and 2019 when he set the Eagles single season passing yardage record.

Who has the franchise record for best single season TD - INT ratio?

Who has the highest winning percentage in franchise postseason history?

I was kind of hoping we were going to end up trading with the Bears, and get Nick back!

Don't like what I say, don't read it. F off. This team is a flaming garbage pile. If I wanna Btch about that all day that's what I'll do. Fire Howie. Guy has destroyed this franchise. We are a laughingstock. Colts stole his lunch money.

What does it say to you that the Colts were the only offer and that for a 3 and a conditional 2?

Then you don't make the trade.

Yep, I've seen a lot of stupid/funny crap on this board over the years, but using her ''reporting'' something as proof in an argument......😂

You can most certainly disagree with Wentz being traded. However, saying "the Colts stole his lunch money” is simply an incorrect assessment of the trade.

We get to look forward to an extra piddling mid third round pick this draft that Howie will screw anyway. Score! Super Bowlzzz!!!!!

And keep a malcontent around that may fracture your locker room?

So a first next year isn’t good enough? Love how that’s glossed over. Not to mention saving $40m on the cap next year.

You gotta ask, what boss would tolerate an employee blowing 33 million......Lurie is tripping

Well when you think about it, the trade SAVES the Eagles a considerable amount of money.  Looks like you're referring to the cap hit.

I am sorry but.....good frickin riddance....sick of the drama and ready for the team to move forward. There is no hate in my heart for the man I just think he wore out his welcome in a very short time and the team didn't get a good return on their investment. Since he is now reunited with Reich, let's see if he can turn him around.

75%.. what if he gets benched for poor play? Is it just injury?

A malcontent? Where has Wentz made one comment bad mouthing the organization? He's kept his mouth shut through all of this.

It's just 75 percent or 70 percent with a playoff birth. If he's so bad that he gets benched again next year than the Eagles got lucky with a 2nd and a 3rd. I don't see it happening though. I think it comes down to whether or not he has a major injury. He could probably miss 3 or 4 games and still play in the required percentage of plays for the Eagles to get a 1st.

There’s gotta be a clause that they can’t just bench him at 74% just to F us.
