You won't argue because your argument is weak and idiotic.  You ignore the facts of what Prescott has accomplished in his first 5 years.

You're one of those guys who cherry picks weak facts and blows them out of proportion and claims that it proves your point.

And your definition of "franchise QB" is idiotic........and the fact that you've said this repeatedly about prescott just proves you don't know what the f---- you're talking about.

Wow, go back to cuba

What if Newman is lights out in preseason? Is he the starter?

I'm intrigued by Newman and fan of Hurts. I'm for whoever progresses in the NFL beyond college. Just glad it's a fresh start and not another season with Wentz.

Important to point out that Newman is a year older than Hurts.

Why can't we compare Hurts to someone like McNabb instead of trying to use Dak?

Hurts had more success in college (than McNabb) and in conferences that were a lot better than the Big East. Both players had similar rookie seasons where they were mixed into the offense for a play or series here and there until they finally replaced the starter late in the season. McNabb took a big jump forward in his second season in the NFL, leading the team to the playoffs and making the Pro Bowl.

I'm not going to make any predictions. I just think it's stupid to say something like, "Hurts won't (or can't) be a success in the NFL, but I hope I'm wrong." It's stupid because you just don't know. Predicting failure now to set up an "I told you so"  in the future just makes you a ****.  I just want to see how he does for myself. Your negative prognosis won't have any impact on what he actually does. He's an Eagle and I'll be rooting for him.

I'm confused by this. Dak can't hold McNabbs jock.

I can tell.

I didn't ask to compare Dak to McNabb. I asked to compare Hurts to McNabb.

If the O Line stays healthy the Key for Hurts will be accuracy.

Hasn't Kelce had like 3 All Pro seasons ? I don''t post much but have been a birds fan for a over 2 decades and that guy has everything you want on your team. I don't direct this at you but at the other guy mentioning his weight. Heart is what counts and he has that in spades.

Say what ever you want about Kelce but he showed me more heart than any player I've ever watched.

With that said, his weight was hiw only short comming.......but he'd be like a Jack Russell going up against a Rottweiler.

I am not impressed with the heart is what counts argument.

Kelce is small and past his prime. He is a liability on 4th and 1, short yardage run situations.

That's why we need to throw the ball on 4th and 1.

You want Philly Philly (Philly Special)? said Foles to Pederson. Yeah let's do it. (because we can't run it)

Well who Fing cares? How many Fing 4th and 1s do we run all year? Gotta dig that deep to find a Kelce criticism do you? Here's a news flash for you. We ran a lot of 4th downs with Wentz right behind Kelce in 2017 (the year you are talking about) remember the results?

Some of you people just aren't Fing realistic at all.

I don't know why this is in the Hurts thread, but re Kelce: I'm a huge fan (as we all are).  He's got a really good case for the HOF.  Maybe better than any Eagle of this generation besides Peters, even better than Cox or Lane.

But he is a limited player.   He's got 1 game per year (and earlier on, more than that) where a big, strong DT just gets comfortable with the snap and puts him on roller skates all game long.  They definitely account for his lack of anchor with their blocking schemes every week for years.  For that drawback, he's got 15 other things he brings to the table.  But when they do move on, if it is Dickerson, they will have a little bit more flexibility on that front (and a bit less on others).

He has been good at short yardage in the past because he's so quick.  Sometimes he'd get out of his stance before the bigger DT's.  He's not necessarily going to drive them backwards, but that's often enough to propel a big QB forward a couple feet.

All players are pretty much limited at some place or another. When you get a player that can do it all you've got something that only a few players in the league can be

How can we win or evaluate Jalen Hurts or any QB if we don't fix the OLine?

OLine is full of recurring injuries and aging players.

Wentz and Hurts were running for their lives last year.

They were running for their lives but to be fair we had 13 different OL starters last year. I mean that's about as bad as it can get for a team. If they trend even remotely towards the norm it'll be a much better situation.

I'd bet money they see 5 different starters at RG and RT alone by week 8, under the assumption that Lane and Brooks make it to week 1 healthy as the starters.

Another injury plagued season from either then we need to give serious consideration to moving on in 2022.

The Eagles in a way improve their line just by getting back Brooks and Lane. They also throw Dillard into the mix and if this rookie (provided he’s healthy) is as good as everyone claims he is then it’s likely he can take Seumalo out. The Eagles have improved their line, but it remains to be seen if the improvements will work. On a side not her there were several problems last year and it wasn’t just the line. The injuries as a whole were killers, and the quarterback was a nightmare to go with the inexperienced receivers. Ertz looked like he quit, and so did the head coach. Even with the line improving there are a lot of areas that need to show improvement as well. We will see how it all plays out. I’m interested to see mostly hospitals much these players are willing to fight in games for the coach.

Maybe we get some of that Chip Kelly injury free love back. We are certainly due some.
