Texans have been building their OL so in don’t see the accuracy of the no OL comment.

They can try to build their line all they want and while it has gotten better (23rd overall last season) it's still poor. Watson has had a bad line his entire career. Dak has had a top 3 line the vast majority of his career.

I don't see a lot of 3-3-5 in the NFL, unless one of your LBs is a great blitzer.

The best way to stop 4 verticals is simply don't give the QB 3+ seconds to throw - vertical routes take time to develop, as we saw with the Eagles last season.

So the 4-2-5 to me is more likely for someone like Gannon, Indy and Zimmer like tall DL because they can get their hands up and take away short crossing routes.

That also means it's worth investing in a top 3 down LB b/c if you're only playing two LBs most of the game, they're more valuable to the defense.

It also makes CB/S and S/LB hybrids more valuable, your third safety should be able to come up against the run, while your deep safeties need to be able to cover man to man when they're forced to in switch offs.

The Houston Texans are an actual NFL representation of a meme. Watson has no line, no running game, no defense and decent at best weapons. Cooks is a concussion away from never walking again and Fuller is and always has been injury prone. The one great talent he had they traded for peanuts. Watson plays in a tougher division (albeit not that tough).

Dak has been, in large, surrounded by an elite line, a great running game and elite talent offensively while largely playing in a joke of a division and he still hasn't accomplished a damn thing.

Watson and Dak are not on the same level and almost every team in the league (including Dallas) would take Watson if they were able to. Cut the nonsense.

Dallas had the better OL when healthy, but they were worse than Houston last year.

Interesting tidbit going into the season from PFF:

"QB Deshaun Watson holds the ball longer than any quarterback on standard dropbacks and invites plenty of pressure himself, and the Texans had the league’s sixth-best pass-blocking grade last season at 79.1 after two years ranking near the bottom."

So finally after years Dallas had a worse line than Houston. That's my point. Dak has been surrounded his entire career, Watson has not. It's pretty cut and dry.

The interesting part about Dak is that everyone was afraid that the only thing that could derail a big deal for him was an injury, and I think his injury may have actually been a blessing in disguise for him. He led the league in passing yards at the time he went down and Dallas' defense was terrible, so he had a lot of leverage from that perspective. Had he have played a full season, tailed off halfway through or in the last quarter of the year, and went 7-9, I don't know if he gets as much as he did.

#Chargers are not placing the franchise tag on TE Hunter Henry, per

. Would've been $12.72M fully guaranteed. A complete tight end who can impact the game as a receiver and blocker. And he's still only 26 years old. Top TE on the market.

Big pass

I hope he is available at 6 and San Fran, Carolina, and Denver all want him.

Not a good idea.  Don't need the dopes in this fanbase and on the radio calling for Foles the moment our young starting QB struggles.

I’m calling for him and he’s not even on the team homeslice

#Giants GM Dave Gettleman asked about the QB movement around the league and if he'll dip into it: "We’ve done two years of evaluations on Daniel Jones, and we really believe he’s the guy. No need to go looking. ... It takes time. Everyone needs to understand that."

He’s a peach. Drafts a running back 2nd overall and then wastes his rookie deal on a meh developmental QB.

It’s amazing that everyone is a 4.3 runner this year. Not fishy at all.

Something interesting to do if you have seen the clip is to use an online .gif maker, or any video editing software.  You begin the clip at the first frame where you see movement,  and end the clip at the 1st frame where you see a part of his body crossing the line.  Usually the software will show you the time of the clip you just trimmed. That's a pretty accurate way to measure the 40 yourself.

See how it compares to the reported time.

He said he was a Cowboys fan growing up. Broke his hip playing college football, hung up the cleats. Learned a lot and is influenced by Mike Zimmer. Likes to read Jocko Willink books. Likes the challenge of coaching defense in an offensive league. Jokingly says Nick Sirianni is exhaustingly competitive.

Nothing to gain from it.

This dude is amazing!

Key word as to Dak is had. Like the Eagles OL, his is aging.

Wouldn't it have helped him? So would this mean he's worried that his 40 time would hurt his draft position?
