Coca Cola, the company that trains its employees to be less white, is calling for Congress to take action against Georgia.  I heard the mlb is considering a boycott of the state.

Even when you manage to win an election that was rigged against you, it looks like you still have to put up with the other sides whining

Hahaha. Months later and this V here still can't accept that Joe whooped his daddy's ass in and didn't even have to leave his house to do it.

Wtf?  This kinna stupid is what drives intelligent Republicans away and makes them hate people like the OP.

Coca Cola and Delta Airlines are just the most recent major corporations (and employers) HQ'd in Georgia to come out and denounce the anti-voting laws just passed in the Republican controlled state legislature.  Sports teams, All Star games, all kind of major events and companies have already made news about it.

And it ain't just Georgia...

American Airlines, Southwest Airlines, Dell Technologies, AT&T have all stated pretty much the same things and stand in opposition as Texas Repubs are about to attempt copy-cat anti-voting rights laws there.  And if they do it, then more states with Trump loving lawmakers and governors will try to do it...  because they can.  Nobody can oppose them so who cares if it's right or wrong?

Which is why the Voting Rights Bill, which was already passed in the House, is the next thing on Biden's list.

And all these states with Republican legislatures that try and roll back voting rights as much as possible will continue to make outspoken and aggressive enemies of the biggest corporations and the biggest employers in their states.

And if those heavyweights in corp America have decided they are on the side of voting rights (and not for the restriction of them because ... MAGA!) , it's going to make the Voting Rights Bill that much easier to pass.

The part where the big losers are such panty wringing puss bags, that they change election laws since they can't win a fair fight.

This has nothing to do with election integrity, since every test and lawsuit proved Georgia elections were fair, not fake.

The fact that you believe it was stolen only shows how many people don't need actual evidence, these days.

So you can’t find anything wrong with the voter integrity bill

People whine and scream and you and the corporations capitulate and that’s how all our laws will be based... on whining and stupidity

The lack of self-awarness is so thick I can cut it with a knife.

Still waiting to hear what’s wrong with the voter integrity bill

A fake bill to combat a fake problem because the whiny bishes in the Georgia GOP lost an election because

TRUMP TOLD HIS FOLLOWERS THE METHOD HE HIMSELF USED WAS NOT TO BE TRUSTED.

HE TOLD THEM IT WAS RIGGED.

THEY BELIEVED HIM.

SO A LOT OF THEM DIDN'T VOTE.

The entire bill is a charade. There is no problem with Georgia election security 2020 proved that.

But what’s wrong with the bill?

Which new law that it created is unfair or racist?

The thing about not being able to give people food or water is stupid.

Otherwise, the other things (as far as I've read) are a question as to whether or not the measures end up targeting certain groups disproportionately or not and if those measures are intentionally put in place to affect the vote in a predetermined manner or not.

Yeah, the food and water thing is absurd.

Reducing dropboxrs and stuff like that is clearly trying to make it harder. I know they had also tried cutting evening voting hours and weekend voting but I don't think that made it. This is definitely a targeted effort. The only proof you need is Texas doing the same thing.

I have no doubt it is likely.  I haven't dug in here to understand enough to form an opinion but all we have to do is look at history (recent history included) to see that it is very very possible.  In any case, the general optics do suggest that this is a conscious effort to suppress the votes from certain groups.

There's quite a bit I don't disagree with in the bill too. However, to look at this and not see what is happening is very naive.

That's pretty much where my thoughts are though as I said I haven't really looked into the details very deeply.

You can still give people food and water.  To do so in a legal way where you cannot be accused of trying to influence people at the polling place, which has been considered wrong for a very long time, if you want to give food or water you must set up an unmanned self service table where people can grab their own food and water
