Jets hit a home run.  Big time.

Yet sadly, they are still the Jets.

Hey everyone, I've been in the hospital for the past 24 or so hours, my mother had a stroke yesterday evening, so I wasn't online when everything started going on. How's the server holding up?

All good.  Hope all is well with your mom bud.

Gotta say, think this is the best draft I’ve ever experienced as an Eagles fan so far. It’s My 12th draft

2002 was likely the best in "recent" years.  2012 being 2nd best.

Cox is gone after this year. I would also argue that wr is a need.

It is a need, down the road.  We gave up 6 lottery tickets and didn't get too much better with our current assembled team.

I remember everyone all the hype about Nakobe Dean.

He’s a good player. Just doesn’t have the measurable’s. Way better at Georgia then teammate drafted ahead of him.

I thought we crushed it in 2006 with Bunkley and Justice. So…yeah.

Sorry man.  Hope all is OK.

Server withstood the first round.  Should be fine going forward.

Thanks again for all you do to make this possible.

Yup.

WRs are expensive no matter what. Hill/Adams/Brown all got paid. Deebo/DK/McLaurin about to get paid. We just saw 4 WRs go in the top 12 and 7 WRs in the top 18. WR investment across the league is not going away...but at least we should be covered for at least 2-3 more years.

The top WRs in this draft all feel like picks in the 20s in other years. These teams are crazy.

Was too young for 2002. 2012 was very fun, but my draft knowledge then wasn’t what it is now.

I did too.  MJG in Round 4 as well, IIRC.

I'll grant you Deebo is outstanding, but I'll take AJ over Metcalf all day every day.

AJ is the better WR, not many will disagree.

I like adding Brown.  I don't like the price in draft and cap space.  But, he's a talent, just an expensive one to add.  I had Jordan Davis as the pick in the Master of the Draft thread... no surprise there.  Glad it didn't cost a Round 3 pick, but it was pricey to jump the Ravens.

I'd feel better about Brown if I had more confidence in the QB being able to utilize him more effectively.

That’s where I’m at. I just wish we could actually draft a guy whose good, have him for a few cheap years and not have to go this route.

Any team that wants a developmental QB should roll up to the end of the 1st for the extra contract year.

Agreed. They have a competent coach and GM. Pieces are falling into place. Now they need to show they can be competitive, and the owner HAS to be patient.
