Tanner McKee (Stanford QB) -- DRAFTED BY EAGLES! #188

The Eagles probably won't be able to get Stroud or Young barring something major happening (i.e. NO or PHI really stinks, Stroud/Young get injured) so Tanner McKee might be the next guy up.

Has a lot to improve on, but physical traits are there and if he does decently, could be in the Eagle's range either through one of the picks as the next tier of QBs. My personal feeling is that he reminds me a little of Wentz as a thrower. Which is good and bad, so hopefully we get to see more of him as he develops this season.

Hurts is gonna need a backup next year. So, we should probably draft someone that can fog a mirror.

Wow. Awesome pick in the 6th. Didn’t even realize he was still available.

At this point, Mariota is the guy that plays in the 4th quarter after Jalen Hurts has crushed it.

Then it's Tanner McKee vs Ian Book for who makes practice squad I guess.

The thought was to develop a guy to be backup next season at a more cost effective contract for a backup

Mariota is signed for this year for something like $5mil, up to $8mil.

What's your point? Book and McKee might be the backup next year.

Book and McKee could both get cut or traded before training camp this year.

Or Howie could go get another journeyman vet.
