Wow umpire Fed the Phillies on the 3-0 pitch that should’ve been ball 4. Luckily walked him two pitches later anyway

This series was weird. One the one hand, give credit to the Phils for winning 2 games in their last at bat. On the other hand, they could have been swept in 4 games. I still wouldn't be a buyer tomorrow. This team has too many fatal flaws.

Honestly, the Phillies are a mess.  Yeah, they have some talented players, but for a team with a $200 million payroll they’re incredibly frustrating to watch and root for.

Yup. This team did an awful job building this roster up when they sucked.

If the Padres can figure out what the hell is going on with snell their rotation is absolutely loaded. See that’s what organizations do. Build up the farm system and develop it right and then can use it to their advantage. Meanwhile the Phillies continue to have top prospects turn out to not be very good

Love Brad Miller.   Didn’t watch either game.  Someone had to work today. Force Majeure calls with customers all day.  So much fun.

3-2 with my HR hat.  You’re welcome!

They play the pirates for 3. Really should be 6-2 after the weekend.

also F the nats for starting scherzer and then trading him.

Well F the Phillies for having 3 hits.

I think we should fight the Pirates for backing out on that deal with us.

I’m actually surprised the nats had scherzer pitch today knowing he could be traded. He winds up getting hurt that goes down the drain.

So have Matt Moore throw at someone... they’ll probably just think that’s normal.

Lol. Dodgers would do that. They’ve basically become the new Yankees.

Also would likely indicate they don’t think Bauer is coming back anytime soon.

Yeah I’m betting he doesn’t play again this year. Scherzer is a FA at the end of the year. Curious to see if he re-signs or tests the FA market.

turner has one more year of arbitration left and then is a FA

Scherzer as a Phillie would be nice. Hes my favorite pitcher. lol

I dont see the Dodgers locking both up long-term.

They are at 256 mil payroll before adding them. I agree no way they sign both. They’d be ridiculously over the luxury tax. I’m guessing scherzer they used to replace Bauer this year and think there’s likely a chance Bauer is back next year.

doubt scherzer would ever come here. He wouldn’t approve of a trade here. I think he wants to be on the west coast

I wonder if LA is giving Washington better prospects or if Max didn't want to go to SD. At least Turner can only torment the Phillies 7 times a year as opposed to 19.

F the dodgers and the Yankees - and the Padres too

I'd stop there.  The Padres have never been to this level before and because of teams like the LAD and Yankmees they need to go all in.  I don't blame them.  Even the BoSox have started down the dark path, but they needed to so they could beat the evil Yankmees.  Lesser of 2 evils.
