See that’s what organizations do. Build up the farm system and develop it right and then can use it to their advantage. They’d be ridiculously over the luxury tax. I’m guessing scherzer they used to replace Bauer this year and think there’s likely a chance Bauer is back next year. doubt scherzer would ever come here. The Padres have never been to this level before and because of teams like the LAD and Yankmees they need to go all in. I don't blame them.
