AJ Brown's mind was on losing, even when it was 27-21 Eagles

What is wrong with you?

We finally have a star QB and WR and you moan about.. well what? A whole bunch of nothing.

with the way the defense was allowing them to convert every third down and the OC not getting plays called in on time or bad plays called , can you blame a guy for having doubt

Eagles have been going for it on 4th down all season and the Chiefs were on fire when we kicked the fg. If you didn’t think the fg were a problem when we kicked them you were not watching the game. Definitely would not like Brown to say this but it is what it is

I knew it was probably over then as well

He said there was a chance we would lose, not that we would lose and as others said, we were all thinking it, because of how easy it looked for the Chiefs on the last drive.

No issue with this. Brown balled out, both before and after this drive. Let's move.

I'm glad YOU are happy losing the Super Bowl. I'm not. We win it if Hurts doesn't give KC the winning points on a mistake pee wee footballers don't even make. Then you hear how mentally defeated Brown is WHILE THE EAGLES ARE WINNING. YOU are ok with that- I am Not. Never will be. Celebrate your Super Bowl loss. I'm not. I'm pissed- and every normal Eagles fan that cares about winning should be pissed. If not, I don't care. I am not ashamed to be pissed off that we lost a Super Bowl we should have won. You ain't from Philly, that's for sure.🤡

Hurts makes one bad play, and we lose 38-35. Probably not the right guy to blame. Take away the 20 great plays he made, and we lose 38-0.

Definitely a shot at Gannon and Steichen.

OP has the top 1 worst takes of the new EMB.

To quote Doug Pederson:  "Hammer down."

Nick blinked in that decision.  He was aggressive the entire first half.  Then in the second half, he lost his nerve.  4th and 4 and he kicked a FG.  That's not how you beat Mahomes in the Super Bowl.   Then, down 1, he punted in the 4th quarter.

Doug was trailing the Patriots in the 4th quarter of SB LII, and he went for it, and the Eagles go down the field to take the lead.   Eagles in this game punted, and find themselves down 8.

Then, when the Eagles tied the game, Gannon stuck with the death by a thousand paper cuts drive to kill the clock and kick the game winning FG.

In contrast, with a mere 5 point lead, Schwartz told Pederson he was going ultra aggressive to get the ball back quickly... either with the lead still, or with enough time for the offense to get the points they needed to ultimately win the game.

Just a dramatic contrast in mentality.  Nick had it early, and then he lost it.  Doug had it, and kept it.  One way the Eagles lose... the other way, the Eagles win.  🤷‍♂️

THAT is how a loser thinks. Winning 27-21, BROWN is thinking they will lose??? That is NOT what winners think. They are thinking about making winning plays, how to beat their guy, how to help the team build on the lead. No, this guy is thinking about losing. Him an Hurts can kiss my a_s_s.

Carson Wentz or Carson Strong?

Tell me you lost a bet and this is the punishment.

@probably a joke post but….

Ok. That’s nothing

And even if it was something still eons away from the level of whining from the 49ers.

It was over before the game started, Defense already made up their mind that they were not going to show up and that pretty much sealed the deal.

Highest score a losing team ever scored in a SB. Lets put the blame where it belongs: The defense.

I felt the wheels were coming off when we first lost the lead. It was clear that the Chiefs were now going to answer whatever we did. Honestly, I could barely watch anymore. I'm over it.

I had hope even on the last drive that the D would make a stop. Was hoping against hope but I was hoping. They had to just make one play in the second half and we would have won. Still so annoyed.

Yup I'm annoyed. by it.. I would have been upset but not annoyed and moved on if  the Eagles straight up loss.. But

1. The Awful officiating with  2 BS calls against the Eagles that completely changed the game

2. The field conditions. Which I feel like impacted the Eagles more than the Chiefs,. Completely negating the Eagles historic D-line.

3  Gannon completely shitting to bed.. This dude did nothing to prep against the Chiefs and called the same defense he had all year with no adjustments.. I have the proof.  The chiefs run alot of motion and yet the Eagles were seemingly unprepared. You had two weeks to prepare for their motion plays. So why the F is Maddox not properly shadowing his man on motion? This is all you need to know. Cause if he had watch game tape. If he ha   done anything  Maddox would have know how to cover  those plays. Instead he got burned all game..

Agreed on all points.  I mean Chiefs burned us twice on the same play that the jags burned us earlier in the season.  You would think that the D coordinator would be better prepared.  I'm so glad hes gone.  Gannon was also so concerned being burned deep and he made zero adjustments.  I mean Mahomes was not a 100%, Stop the run, cover intermediate passes and rely on your pro bowl CBS to make a play if Mahomes did fling the ball deep.  None of that happened which just tells me how ill prepared he was.

Seems pretty obvious Brown was basically admitting they had little faith in the D stopping the Chiefs since they were unable to do so at any point in the 2nd half.

It’s not like they were up by 30. They have been up by 10 in a game twice and lost that game. That’s not an unusual thought nor is it a losing mentality. The DC failing to make adjustments was more of a losing mentality than anything.

The defense choking the way they did and Gannon being gone already is the only reason I'm not furious with the loss, lol.  I'm over it already, and just feel bad for the players for not winning a game they should've won.

When just before kickoff they showed Paul Rudd in his KC jersey, that didn't feel right. No Bradley Copper. Not a good way to start the game.
