Those were pretty close to being turnovers. I still think he played a great game that kept us in it, outside of those 2 bad throws and the one pick that I do blame him for. If AJ doesn’t slow down on that route & Elliot makes that FG I think we win

Meh.  We scored 14 points in the first half.  We scored zero in the second half... (admittedly with a missed FG).  Last week, we put up only 6 points in the second half.  This team hasn't played well and the defense kept the team in it, because the offense did almost nothing.

Yup. Nick has been weird a lot all season. Putting on my conspiracy theory hat it makes think he’s not a big fan of Desai given the circumstances of Gannon leaving and the weirdly long search for a DC

Elaborate on this cause I’m intrigued

I think we’ll hear a lot of cheap talk in the week ahead that Driscoll wasn’t actually that bad, that they could have helped him more (they could have), and that they are confident in him until Lane returns.  And I think they’ll ride with him.

Just wait for the tweet from PFF saying Driscoll was the 4th highest graded RT this week. 😄😄

They just lost to the G D Jets

The Jets who were built very well in the offseason to where they were considered contenders until they started getting injuries

Dude, you need to take off the Hurts-colored glasses.

I'd hate to see what you would consider a bad game.

Every week people **** about Brian Johnson. What play calls were even the problem today? Play calls had very little to do with this loss. Multiple dropped passes, bad turnovers, Elliott missed FG, poor protection up front at times. None of that has to do with the play calling. And if they needed to slide help over to Driscoll, that's a head coach decision.

I get Sirianni is a popular guy in this town, but you can't just put everything on Johnson because you love Sirianni. This is his team, he's responsible for all this stuff.

And Sirianni is the one who decides coming out of the 2 minute warning whether they're running or passing. Sirianni is the one who decides the game plan, which is obviously pass heavy.

Sirianni has made weird decisions all year. Like featuring Gainwell in week 1. Going for it on 4th down in week 1. Not going for 2 vs Minnesota. Not using the timeout at the end of the first half vs Minnesota. Going for the TD at the end vs Washington. All year long he's done dope crap, but because we love Nick, let's blame it all on Johnson. It's unfair.

Off the top of my head, the third down play call before Jake’s Miss was a killer. Driscoll got killed all game and we called slow developing crossing routes. Just call a damn slant to AJ and let him beat some bum cornerback.

People are really mad about 5-1. We were in the Super Bowl last year. It's fine.

Getting mad beyond tonight is dumb. But last year doesn’t mean anything anymore.

I dont see any way at all this back 7 prevents the Dolphins from running away with the game.

I think the Eagles will play better but I just don't see it this year.  The magic is gone.

Howie needs to make a move just to shake it up.  It feels like every team has a copy of our game plan every single week.

It’s too bad they ran out of those 2 RB plays, they seemed to get the ball out quick.

Yep.  AJ is virtually unstoppable on a slant.

Look at our completions this season and tell us how many are schemed open vs. how many are just "our players are better than your players".

That's Brian Johnson.

It feels like they should be 3-3.  Almost every game has been a coin toss at the end.  But you are what your record says you are…and that’s 5-1.  I fear they are going to ring up several Ls in the coming weeks against teams that won’t let them off the hook when they kick the ball around.

I think it's the way they are 5-1. The Rams game was their best game and even that wasn't a complete game for them.

You'd hope to see a team learn from mistakes and grow but this team seems to regress. I don't know what's going on with DeVonta Smith but he had to be talked to on the sideline last week and comes out this week with 2 huge drops.

Jalen Hurts has been discussed. Something is off with his game. That last INT...that's a rookie throw, not a $255 million QB throw.

Brian Johnson has no idea how to call plays in the RZ. Granted, that wasn't the issue today but it honestly feels like all he wants to do is get to the 2 yard line so he can call a sneak.

Desai's use of the CB has been head scratching. Yes, there are injuries but he is giving way too much of a cushion right off the bat.

The Eagles had a huge opportunity with the Niners losing to the Browns today and they couldn't get passed the lowly Jets. Not a good game. Not the end of the world but there's a lot to be concerned about at the very least.

I agree. A lot of guys on this board were happy when Johnson was hired. I had my doubts. The playcalling is horrible. Sirianni might have to step in.

Johnson was okay at Florida but this offense doesn’t have any essence of his offense from Florida. It’s like he was hired to call someone else’s offense, which he doesn’t understand the identity or flow of.

why is Hurts throwing 45 balls in a 2 point game with the lead and a sturdy defense and bad opposing QB? Just leaving time on the clock, and letting defense not have to grind

Hill is going to absolutely dismantle this secondary. 180 yards minimum.

New OC doesnt believe in AJ Slants or running on first down

That first drive was bizarrely long. Didn’t understand the process there. I will say the offense is far less dominant than last year. I’m trying to give the benefit of the doubt because we barely beat Indy, Chicago, and Houston last year also. The only change in personnel really too has been Sanders & Seumalo, I value Seumalo on the OL & think Sanders benefitted from our OL. So the clear issue is coaching to me.

Yeah. Tua gets rid of the ball so quickly our DL won’t even matter. It will be pitch and catch vs the back 7.

The main issue was ball security.  Mistakes killed us all game.  Bad playcalling considering Lane being out.  Bone head play call and execution to end the game.  Should have ran it and made the Jets earn it

There was a play early on when Driscoll had to come in and after a few snaps at RT they moved him across the formation to play LG or LT, wtf was that?

I remember that. Unbalanced formation would be my guess.

Yes.

Sorry fellas, but we got conned.

This team is fool's gold.

And so is Jalen Hurts.

That INT to essentially end the game is inexcusable. No one can defend it. Run for an attempt at the 1st down in scramble mode. Throw it away and give the D a chance at a stop. Anything but what he did.

Hurts is regressing to the mean.

One outstanding season shouldn't have warranted such an enormous contract.

10-7 season incoming if we are lucky.

I definitely have no problem critiquing Hurts. How many crucial drops did you see today from guys like Gainwell & Smith? Or AJ slowing down on a route that would have been a massive TD giving us insane momentum. Hurts had some questionable throws & some very bad ones, but this loss isn’t solely on him.
