I saw the sf/cle game. The anointing oil given to Brock purdy looks looks very premature. He was godawful once cmc and Debo got injured. He was making bad reads and bad throws.

If he did what Hurts did today, we’d all be trying to tattoo fraud to his forehead.

Swift fumble up 14-6 inside Jet 40 under 2 minutes too. We played bad, it’s an L that we earned.

I have very high regard for Smitty, one drop is out of character.

Overall, plenty of blame to go around - as one guy doesn’t lose this game to the Jets.

Jalens gonna take the blame and I guess he should cause the pick to "lose” it

but the play call to pass was fing stupid the drops the fumbles etc all played in.

Hurts is absolved of nothing.

This loss is 100% on him.

One play and the game is effing over.

Some rise to the occasion.

He floundered.

Flounders aren't worth $250 mil.

There were so many mistakes. It was a perfect storm of Fing up and it seemed like everyone on offense wanted a turn.

swift fumbles

gainwell drops a sure first down

smitty plays the worst game I’ve ever seen him play, dropping multiple easy passes for first downs

Goedert magically drops a pass into a defensive lineman’s arms.
hurts spends the entire 2nd half bailing on the run. Some were clean pockets and some not. And then on the few times he tries to trust the o-line, he gets hit for an int or sacked.

driscoll was just Fing impossibly brutal on running and passing plays

jake Eliot missing a cheap shot fg

the players literally took turns Fing up on each drive after going up 14-3.

In fairness, this has been a problem since week one. They seemingly get these close to or double digit leads. And then find ways to let teams back in the game. The only games where they didn’t do that was Tampa Bay and the Rams game last week. How many times have we discussed on this blog so far this year the Eagles trying to give games away? 6 games I’d say at least 4 of them.

Great teams stomp on the other teams throat and put them away. It’s what made the eagles really good for most of last year and winning games like the colts that they played poorly. Eventually that was gonna turn. The Eagles are making dumb decisions and mistakes when they take leads. We can say they can clean it up but you’re about to face a gauntlet of a schedule. There’s a good chance they just are not better than some of these teams. I think the Dolphins are better than them currently. I think there’s a chance that the Chiefs are better than them by the time we come out of that bye. There’s a chance of the bills, niners are better than them. And the Seahawks look formidable and you have travel across the country to play them.

before the season I thought they would be in 11 or 10 when team. They have too many holes on this defense for it to hold up against better offenses. The safety position was already not very good. I said if reed can’t show that he can hold up for 17 weeks you’re gonna be in a lot of trouble asking a rookie and two journeymen to be good. And that’s exactly what’s happening.  you have two starting cornerbacks both over 30band a slot in his mid 30s. The odds they were going to stay healthy were slim. You were pressing your luck based off last year. Last year, the Eagles have the ultimate luck of not having that many long-term injuries. On top of all of this your linebackers are brutally bad. Morrow and Cunningham cannot cover. The Jets might not have had even 20 points in that game if those two could cover out of the backfield. brutal watching them in coverage. I have no clue what Dean is cause he hasn’t been healthy and didn’t play much if at all in 2022.

I swear I don’t understand what fans want players to say after a loss. I also don’t understand why you watch those things. Literally NOTHING they say will make you feel better. So why bother?

This was already baked into the cake for me I knew when he didn’t return it was bad news.

I agree I’m not blaming Swift, he fumbled. DeVonta huge drop, good players who had bad plays. We’ll be ok

Dr Chao said low level high ankle sprain, could’ve played today in a pinch. He will play next week, I guarantee it. Bigger concern is Blankenship. Ruled out quickly could have cracked ribs. Not concerned much about the others.

Chinn will be in Philly

Non-Eagles take from a guy who does not hate the Patriots:

BB is done. He should man up and resign tomorrow. Let Mayo take over. Kraft will let Mayo take over next year if he doesn't.

The old BB would have thrown Mac Jones overboard a long time ago.

Even if they are tanking you can't let BB try to influence the next QB at this point. The Patriots do not exist to get BB some Don Shula record 5 years from now at 6 wins a year.

Yea he’s just in a funk right now, not a cause for concern over him at all

I'm not a fan of the set drama to 100 and panic people but this has been a really ugly 6 weeks to 5-1.

Outside of the Tampa game all those games were close-ish.

I share the concern but the talent and the coaching has a track record of getting it done.

My biggest concern is how the injuries look after playing on that death trap field.

Biggest concern should be Hurts decision making and ball security

High ankle sprain for an o-lineman.  He will be out several weeks

This loss had a lot of similarities to last years Washington game. So we will trade for someone or sign someone right?

They need a three down LB that can cover well, a S and a nickel CB. Also a #2 RB. And Siri to take over play calling. That's all no biggie

That makes everything better ... Hurts can stand there and "humbly"speak to the team
