Hurts is absolved of nothing.

This loss is 100% on him.

One play and the game is effing over.

Some rise to the occasion.

He floundered.

Flounders aren't worth $250 mil.

Don't you think Lane going out affected him negatively in some aspects?

Random, but true:

The Eagles can't seem to win a game when I've been on vacation. Just started and they lost. The last one I took? The Friday before the Superbowl.

The Eagles have an abysmal record when I'm on vacation.  Last year's SB, last year's DC loss, Chip Kelly's week 1 loss to Atlanta, Chiefs loss in the year we won the SB, an ugly MNF loss to the Saints.

I watched them beat the Bears from the beach in 2017.  That's the only game they've ever won while I've been on vacation.

The eagles win next week vs Miami. Book it.

Not without Lane MVP Johnson

Miami’s defense is not that good. It’s their offense I worry about,

I'm still thinking about the Devonta drop. I can live with WRs wanting the ball and more opportunities. But then you have to step up. He had 2 drops, probably had a 3rd if you don't want to count a PBU and got bodied on the last of the play.

It's been a stretch of bad games from him.  Not trying to stir up controversy...just keeping it fair...if Quez did what Devonta did this week (including a missed block with AJ running downfield), everyone would have the pitch forks out.  He had a really, really bad game.  It happens.

I wish I shared your optimism, but sa long as Brian Johnson is calling plays, the offfense will continue to struggle. You're not going of fix something in 1 week that you havne't been able to in the past 5.

Ebb and flow no dobut, but this team just hasn't looked right over the course of the season and injuries are beginning to pile up in the deepest part of our schedule.

The offense coming into today was averaging more ppg than last season.

Eagles are going to need to score at least 34 to have a chance against Miami IMO

Stop going on vacation during the season. It’s all your fault!

I'm not giving up on him but he's looked more like 2021 Hurts then the 2022 version.

I think the problem is that he looks like both rolled into one.  The big plays from 2022 are there, but so are the mistakes, misreads, and turnovers from 2021.

Our offense didn't look good against a team with most of their starters in the secondary out

@EaglePhan1986 book it

Overloaded the OL.  They do that all the time in certain situations.   The LT moves out and the RT inserts between the LT and LG.    They do the same thing to the other side... LT inserts between the RT and RG.  Stout has been doing this for as long as he's been here.

I guess I’m more questioning if it’s the right playcall to ask your backup RT to swing over to the left side after coming in cold.

It just dawned upon me how bad that record is haha.  Regrettably, the fall is the best season to travel.

I agree with you, I’m taking the points there. My point is people are complaining we threw on 3rd and 10, I wasn’t surprised. Didn’t agree with that decision in either case … but Nick has consistently been super aggressive.

There were so many bad individual plays that could be pointed out as 'one offs'... The deflection on the pass to Goedert... the fumble by Swift... the pick at the end... the missed FG by Elliott.  Anyone of them goes the opposite way and this is a win.  But, they've been playing this game on the knife's edge for a while, and more concerningly, especially against better teams (the Jets aren't good... a team wins the turnover battle 4-0 and barely wins the game? They are garbage.) the RZ playcalling and execution has been just atrocious all year.  Not once in the RZ have I felt good about the plays they've been running.

No doubt, but on the play of the game, Hurts rolls left (not Lane's side), locks in to a WR in double coverage, and throws a gift to the other team that loses the game. Jets had 3 pts in the 2nd half up to that point.

I made the point earlier in the season, every time the Eagles have a QB play like a MVP one year the following year they don’t look anywhere close to what they did the previous year. And it’s holding true so far. Hurts has had flashes where he’s looked brilliant. And other times where he’s just not being good. Go back to mcnabb in 04. Was fantastic. Next year didn’t look good and then had an injury. Vick in 2010 was an mvp candidate. Following year couldn’t stay healthy and wasn’t nearly as good when he did play. Foles had the 27-2 year in 2013. Next year he had 10 tds and 6 ints before he got knocked out for the season. Wentz was fantastic in 2017 before his knee injury. Following year he had solid numbers but he didn’t look anywhere close to what he did.

watching this team they’ve yet to really have a game where i say to myself that’s similar to last year. Rams game was the closest but even that the offense was ok in the second half. Bucs game they still had mistakes on offense.

I love the Eagles. I’m not gonna give up on them. But I’ve always felt this was gonna be a huge mountain to climb to get yourself back to the Super Bowl. We were super fortunate last year with the injuries. You also gonna get everybody’s best shot so you have to be even better and more locked in. Feels at times they are and other they lose focus. your schedule is massively harder then it was last year. So there was less margin for error if you were planning on getting home field advantage throughout the playoffs. This is a type of game you cannot afford to lose for HFA especially when the niners and lions have far easier schedules.

If he’s BPA sure. But if not we have 2 second round picks, including the Saints, and we can grab a talented player there.

Guyton might be that dude

Yeah, everyone forgets that we had some bad offensive games last year against Houston, Indy and Chicago.

There defense is not good.

That's a different discussion.   Ideally, if he's the top guy, he's been working in those situations as well and you don't change your game plan.  But, reality says... Jack Driscoll is not Lane Johnson.  So, you have to reevaluate.
