No doubt, but on the play of the game, Hurts rolls left (not Lane's side), locks in to a WR in double coverage, and throws a gift to the other team that loses the game. Jets had 3 pts in the 2nd half up to that point.

Oh I agree, that was bad and a bad throw and decision. But on the flip side I'm not sure about the play call or design because it looked like there wasn't any chance on that play, at least to me. There were Jets flanked on either side.

Yeah, everyone forgets that we had some bad offensive games last year against Houston, Indy and Chicago.

Last year we had quite a few dominant offensive games as well.   Have they had one of those yet this year?

Also point out over the last 3 weeks the offense has gotten progressively worse each week in terms of scoring. Jets have a really good defense but were down 4 corners. I can’t imagine how bad it would’ve looked if Reed and sauce were out there. We have 9 turnovers in 6 games. 8 of them by hurts. at the moment hurts is on pace to have 20+ turnovers. Granted, some of it is not on him like the goedert play.

And go Chargers I guess.

D played great today although it was against a crappy offense. They got the job done and held the Jets to FG’s.

McLane saying the team thinks Lane has a high ankle sprain.

Well, next week.

Lane's not playing.  I think it's a near lock that he'll fit in with the flavor of the year, which is a 4 week stint on IR then a return.  I don't know what the answer is, but they need a situation at RT that is not a revolving door.  Revolving door is an oft-used exaggeration.  Today, it was just an accurate description.  Maybe Driscoll mans up with a week of prep...or maybe it's Steen, the other Johnson...I don't know.  But something needs to change.  If this ends up being a halftime substitution after a first half disaster against the Dolphins, I'm going to lose a lot of faith.

The secondary grabbed headlines for injuries today, but it was a workmanlike performance behind a DL that did a great job.  They are going to step to the forefront next week.  And we all worry it might get really ugly.

What lineup are we looking at?...
CB1: Slay CB2: Bradberry S: Edmunds.  S: Not counting on Brown, Blankenship to be healthy.  NCB: Roby may be a no-go.  If we put Jobe outside and Bradberry inside, it's going to be a slaughter.  Edmunds is the only healthy safety on the roster and he sucks.  They may have to make multiple roster moves just to dress 6 DBs.  I'm just not sure how that personnel is supposed to keep the Dolphins under 350 yards passing and 35 points.

The good news is at least Reddick has arrived. The cast clearly hampered him and he’s been a menace since getting it off.

That one, or this one?

I made the point earlier in the season, every time the Eagles have a QB play like a MVP one year the following year they don’t look anywhere close to what they did the previous year. And it’s holding true so far. Hurts has had flashes where he’s looked brilliant. And other times where he’s just not being good. Go back to mcnabb in 04. Was fantastic. Next year didn’t look good and then had an injury. Vick in 2010 was an mvp candidate. Following year couldn’t stay healthy and wasn’t nearly as good when he did play. Foles had the 27-2 year in 2013. Next year he had 10 tds and 6 ints before he got knocked out for the season. Wentz was fantastic in 2017 before his knee injury. Following year he had solid numbers but he didn’t look anywhere close to what he did.

watching this team they’ve yet to really have a game where i say to myself that’s similar to last year. Rams game was the closest but even that the offense was ok in the second half. Bucs game they still had mistakes on offense.

I love the Eagles. I’m not gonna give up on them. But I’ve always felt this was gonna be a huge mountain to climb to get yourself back to the Super Bowl. We were super fortunate last year with the injuries. You also gonna get everybody’s best shot so you have to be even better and more locked in. Feels at times they are and other they lose focus. your schedule is massively harder then it was last year. So there was less margin for error if you were planning on getting home field advantage throughout the playoffs. This is a type of game you cannot afford to lose for HFA especially when the niners and lions have far easier schedules.

Honestly I wouldn't care if they continue to play like this and win some close games but when the season gets to week 16, 17 or 18 that something clicks and they start resembling last years team.

I'm just hoping there's a point where they "figure things out" and I hope if it does happen that its right before the playoffs.  Don't even care if they have the #1 seed and HFA.

Buffalo is letting us down big time so far.
