Driscoll wasn’t good. However throwing and dropping back as much as we did with two backups on the right side is a recipe for that to happen. Also not to bash hurts there were numerous times he sat and sat back there and then finally took off to the right. I remember at least 5 times i began yelling get rid of the ball taking too long. Would probably count as a pressure but he had time but either no one got open or he’s not seeing the field very well.

Watched the compressed game, and it looked like the OC gave Driscoll some help with occasional chips and shifting the blocking in his direction and he did OK there - but when left alone it wasn’t a good situation. Wish Swag saw Johnson coming on the hand hit/INT…

I can't shake the feeling the Phillies are going to put us through the same thing tonight. Gosh damn this has been a horrible morning.

I just came in here to say, you know s*** was bad when you are depending on the f'n Phillies to fix your mood.

What comes to mind is the rollout and a rope to the near pylon - which requires a lot of things to go right… wish they could get Goedert going in the RZ a la vintage Ertz up the seam.

Yep.  That's missing from the offense although that was Doug's offense.

We should steal it.

Phillies win and all will be ok...they lose, well Tatergeddon!!

Dougy P->Reich->Siri

All in the family, not stealing.

In any case, making use of a big target like Goedert should be a go-to in & Goal situations.

Sadly no Rhys

I expect an AB in the World Series that blows the doors off the Bank.

The turnovers are a concern, but one of the things that drives me crazy especially when you watch other games, is how happenstance or random some of these turnovers are. Cornerbacks/safeties making toe drag insane catches, Hurts' arm getting hit and the ball perfectly floating to a defender, the Goedert situation yesterday where he got stripped or tipped? I still don't really know what happened on that play. And then you see our secondary drop balls that hit them in the hands or can't get a tip drill to go their way. It's just weird situations that you tell yourself are rare/lucky but they continue to happen on a weekly basis. It's infuriating.

5 rushing TDs in 6 games is very, very good.

His YPC decreased as we're doing more QB sneaks (which inherently lowers his rushing YPC).

He ran to throw a ton yesterday too.

7 INT in 6 games is very, very bad.

He's regressed back to 2020 and 2021 with his TT throw metric.  Worst in the NFL both years at 3.11 and 3.12; last season when he was an MVP candidate he made much better and quicker decisions.  This season he's back to over 3 seconds to throw -- 3.06.  He's not last; Russell Wilson s 3.07.

Dak got his OC fired last year with the level of play Hurts is showing this year.

Maybe we should just always have QBs with rookie contracts. It seems whenever we pay someone they collapse within themselves and make horrible decisions and take 6 hours in the pocket taking bad sacks/hits.

The TE seam play was terrific with Celek too. The only seam play with Goedert I can remember was his rookie year with the phantom OPI against Dallas.

Got to get to the WS. I don’t think this series with the dbacks is gonna be easy. It’s likely a long series. Besides this year the Phillies have really struggled out in Arizona prior to this year. It was a ridiculous 4-12 in Arizona in their previous 16. Even with winning 3 of 4 this year they are just 7-13 in their last 20 in Az. And overall last 20 matchups teams are 10-10. I’d be surprised if this series didn’t go 6 or 7

Let's be realistic here...IF we make it to the WS and IF he gets an AB, he'll strike out on a slider.  This is the way.

He looked worse than I remember.

If my theory is true that Carter and Slay could have played had the game been against a team like Dallas or SF, then the tone was set by the organization before the ball was ever kicked off.

The players in the locker room know how injured / not injured those guys are. So, Sirrianis comments signal to everyone, players included, that we can rest our best guys because it's just the Jets.

Couple that with some more awful situational play calling, a few turnovers, couple of key unfortunate injuries, and you have the perfect recipe to lose to one of the worst teams in the NFL.

But the ovation will be insane!

Part of me is relieved they lost because I was tired of pretending for weeks that everything was perfect becasue they won and that’s all that mattered. I still think they’re a great team, arguably the best in football, but something is definitely off this year and it’s been apparent since week 1. Across the board on offense they look like they lack confidence in each other and themselves. They’re playing like they’re afraid to make mistakes. They’re playing conservatively and tight in big spots. Hurts isn’t reading defenses like he did last year.

It’s something different every game. First few games Hurts was running like he was afraid to get hit. In the red zone it’s like they don’t actually throw passes into the end zone almost like they’re afraid they’re going to turn it over. Hurts bailing the pocket early.

Last season they played like alphas. This season they aren’t.

He’s on pace for 23 turnovers. That’s really bad. Not all him like the goedert int but he’s fortunate he didn’t have another pick on a sideline throw which he basically threw it to smith who was blanketed and it likely should’ve been picked. Jets were down 4 corners. Managed to have 3 ints (1 not on him) and could’ve had more is an issue. At least when josh Allen struggled week 1 and mahomes a couple weeks back they were healthy. This was a banged up team (granted eagles had injuries too) particularly in the secondary and oline.

Normally, Driscoll looks decent as a backup… just a countdown until he was sidelined by injury.

I'm still blown away by the amount of injuries this team is going through. Even the announcers made a joke about it yesterday as they kept going down to the sidelines for injury updates. I also think the NFL is going to have to give serious consideration to natural grass being required.
