Idk if I want to use quality draft capital and go all in. Maybe Bill will let him go for a 4th rd pick. Hell, see if he wants Barnett. Straight up

He has two of the best hits I've seen this year when he blasted Hurts week one for the fumble and that yesterday.

That was nasty. That ball popped right out

Why are Hurts' INT up and passer rating, etc. down?

Yes the last INT in the 4th quarter was terrible. But the shaky offense is a team effort. A lot of Hurts' "regression" is team-based.

With Reed down - a SS spot is open and might be able to do some heavy nickel stuff given that our LBs aren’t world beaters.

The problem with going all in is we don't know who will be healthy at the end of November. I wish the deadline was later this year. They could go all in and it would be a waste with the pile of injuries after the Bills/49ers/Chiefs/Cowboys/Dolphins.

It's time for them to let Sydney Brown do his thing. Cut him loose. Especially with Reed hurt

On to next week, Howie needs to bring in secondary help.  That unit is the walking wounded right now.

The safety spot has been a gaping hole since the beginning of the season.  Just pull the trigger on the best trade available whether that be Chinn, Peppers, Baker.  I don't care but this team can't sit around waiting for a rookie 3rd round pick who can't get healthy to "see what he can do" or rely on Edmunds who sucks.

Let's get this out of the way. @GoEagles5921 was closest with his Eagles 13 Jets 17 prediction. I'll post the Bonus winners later.

Here's the rest of the story

From the first six games the chicken dinner has gone to:
@Alphagrand in Week One
@Iggles25 and @bbabraham in Week Two
@Cliftoma in Week Three
@Casey @ Bat in Week Four, and
@Mike030270 and @Texas Eagle in Week Five
@GoEagles5921 in Week Six

The Bonus pick results this week had the following winners:
@wussbasket with "Davis gets a sack"
@DrPhilly with "This one will be tougher than expected. Graham gets his 1st sack"
@Cliftoma with "Graham gets a sack"
@mattwill with "Williams gets a sack"
@Eagz with "Reddick gets 2 sacks"
@just relax with "Reddick with two sacks"
@vikas83 with "Eagles get 5 or more sacks"
@eaglestime34 with "Eagles Defense has 5 sacks"
@TEW with  Eagles with 5 sacks"
@Uscg-green with "Wilson gets sacked at least 5 times"

and an Honorable Mention to

@aptosbird with "More FG's than TD's again" which was true for both teams combined, but not for the Birds.

The Goedert INT looks worse and more like it's on Hurts.  He has to get it out sooner with his feet set.  He waits too long which allows Williams to make a play.  He needs to hit his back foot and release the ball.  If he does, Goedert has much more than a first down.

Some of this is not on Jalen hurts. Like Smith dropping the ball. But there was another playing that game where he sat in the pocket, sat in the pocket. The pressure eventually got to him and he  rolled out to his right, and then threw a ball into double coverage that should’ve been picked. There’s been other plays like that this year that we’ve been fortunate haven’t been picked. Yes, there are other issues going on contributing to him not playing as well. Such as guys dropping balls and the playcalling. However, let’s not sugarcoat it. He’s not playing consistently at the same level he was throughout last year. He’s had good quarters or good drives but not consistently game to game throughout the game like he was in 2022. That’s the reality. The fumble against New England late in that game wasn’t a team issue. That’s on hurts. The bad interception against the jets on hurts. The int in the rams game was on hurts. He’s clearly not playing at the same level he was consistently last year.

I assume Reed go in last year under similar circumstances… so there’s definitely a chance. Tough match up for a rookie S though.

I'm guessing Lane will be out the next 2 games...maybe 3 and bring him back after the bye week

Gotta start somewhere

Seems like the Cards are set on not trading Baker

He has been indecisive all year, especially in the Vikings game. I'm leaning towards that has improved, but maybe it's manifesting in different ways. He just doesn't look confident or unable to make quick decisions most snaps.

I think it’s a lazy take. Hurts is slower progressing, he’s not getting the ball out in a reasonable time frame. He’s even slow deciding to commit to run when he’s scrambling. He’s holding the ball too long etc. AJ was killing them and we just quit going to him. I don’t 100% blame Hurts, but he’s playing poor football. His OC isn’t doing anything to target weaknesses or force feeding our best players until they can prove or use resources to stop them. I still have no idea why Gainwell is getting snaps over Swift in the RZ or closing out games.

Our RT was getting abused, we didn’t help him, and we didn’t pound the rock hard enough. This team has no identity outside of our front 4 on defense. Everywhere else is a random dice roll on who’s going to be featured and go-to in crunch time.

Secondary isn’t going to fix us scoring 14 points against the Jets and 4 offensive turnovers and no flow or consistency on offense.

I'm still blown away by the amount of injuries this team is going through. Even the announcers made a joke about it yesterday as they kept going down to the sidelines for injury updates. I also think the NFL is going to have to give serious consideration to natural grass being required.

Reversion to mean

Two different issues.

Unless you are bringing a slot WR or another RT, I don't know how you improve the roster on offense.

Yesterday the turnovers and lack of focus (drops) killed them.  But, the main thing holding this offense back is Brian Johnson.  The O lacks an identity and the OC has no idea what he is doing in the red zone.  That only gets fixed by him getting his head out of his arse or firing him.

Would we consider Ghost an injury prone player?  He doesn't seem to play very long before getting hurt.  Maybe he needs to modify his semi-reckless style of play if he wants to be available more.

Its obvious Hurts has regressed

the question is, has it been adjusting to a new OC? Ot have DCs figured him out?

has he bulled up too much or is he just trying to play hero ball instead of executing the offense?

holding the ball and bailing on clean pockets is poor qb play

If we're down the following players then i'd say help was required. Secondary pretty much decimated.

Slay
Brown
Reed
Ricks
Roby
Evans

Leaves bradberry, Jobe, goodrich and ringo with Edmunds and no one at safety. 4 of those are garbage and the other is past his best.

Now imagine them against tyreek and waddle etc.

did you see the hit by lazard? Not sure he could do much about that, hardly reckless play
