This is mostly just wincing from that infamous Steelers game a few years back, but does anyone else have a bubbling concern that Chase Claypool is going to hurt us Sunday night?

No. Tyreek, triple yes. Bradberry will be torched and torched and torched

The trade deadline conveniently coincides with our bye week, which gives any additions 2 weeks to get on-boarded.  Additionally, the best position to add is a bit of a moving target week to week.

WR and OT entered the fray this week.  Previously, it was a back and forth between CB vs. S.  They can probably address one position at the deadline.  Might as well let the dust continue to settle to figure out which one it needs to be.

Almost everyone is going to argue for safety, but I continue to vote CB with a dark horse WR.

If we played today we would have Bradberry, Edmunds, and some call ups playing. That’s it. Secondary is far and away the biggest need. Even when we have healthy players we’re relying on rookie UDFA and other cannon fodder. Not going to cut it.

I can’t believe we signed some guy who spells his name "Lew”

Astros getting destroyed.

The problem for the Rangers is that for all their offensive power, their pitching sucks.  One of our best friends is an avid Rangers fan and her text to me after one of the wins over the Orioles in the ALDS was "We score 11 runs and it still is a nail biter!  This is not good for my heart!"

Tbh evoladi and Montgomery have been really good. Their bullpen is very hit or miss. Don’t know what they are gonna get from scherzer he hasn’t pitched in a while.

He’s also dropped more passes since saying it

They won 2-0 last night.

We like that right?  I am still not clear who we are rooting for on the other side of the fence.

Definitely the Rangers.  We want to see their pitching have to handle our hitting.  Although their hitting is going to be a test for our pitching.  But all in all a better matchup than the Astros.

Report Jason and Travis

If we score 7 off their Ace, then this will be a short series.

We will get to 7, but from their pen.   They will get 2 or 3 from Gallen.

I agree, but the phrasing "pushing to play” which someone said suggests you might need to protect him from himself a bit.

Correct.  There is nuance.   There is overly cautious, there is overly cavalier and there is simple prudence.

Might as well let Ringo get some action

If either Goedert or Gainwell give any help to Driscoll here, we hit on a big play. UGH.

It isn’t though they’ve been doing well this postseason so far, they’re due for a regression. I can’t believe Scherzer made the roster though it’s very sad watching him pitch he’s totally shot has absolutely nothing left. His ERA is over 6 and is a launch pad. That speaks to their lack of depth they’re throwing him out there. And I don’t like Bruce Bochy, he’s a ****. But I also hate the cheating Astros, so…

Been saying this since yesterday, when it happened. I don’t know if Gainwell was supposed to chip on it but he got really close to giving a chip. But he didn’t actually hit Johnson on his route. I’d love for a reporter to ask if gainwell was supposed to chip before going out and he missed it or just go out on a route. If they didn’t ask him to do it or give help to Driscoll, that’s a coaching mistake. Because you shouldn’t assume a slow developing deep pass that Driscoll is gonna be lane and stonewall Johnson 1 on 1. Goes back to you can’t play the same way when lane leaves a game.
