I know his pitch count is low, but he had a low pitch count against Atlanta when he was sent out for the 7th and we all saw what happened. I'm thinking Hoffman goes out for the 7th.

That's how game 2 happened. I sure do trust the pen over him getting close to the mid 80s pitch count.

The difference you can do this time is if the first better gets on base take him out. The mistake that Thomson made was allowing him to continue after the first runner got on.

It was bad blocking, for sure on that, he was going to lose yards on the play.  BUT.. he went BACKWARDS and then he SLID down for that 7 yard loss.  Happened on first down from the 1 yard line.  

I remember this play now when he slid. The defense blew that play up. Sliding wasn't a good look but he wasn't going anywhere either.
