Yup.  Herbert looks like he needs harder coaching as we can see with Hurts, for his issues, knows his role and what to do.  Herbert looks lost

Chargers do seem to have horrible injury luck too

but they need a new coach

Eagles goal this Sunday should be to keep possession of the ball for 40 minutes.  They are capable of achieving this against the Miami run defense

The excuses for Herbert continue to build

Herbert needs to do more to be considered an elite QB for sure ..... but ..... it's Herbert and Keenan Allen out there.  Palmer is okay, Everett is sort of okay.

Luckily he also has the league's Ultimate Whiner in Austin Ekeler -- whining and moaning he deserves more money, while carrying 14 times for 27 big yards.

I had a similar reaction.

I am feeling positive after last night's game.

This one is actually a come back.

Eagles rarely play like dog vomit two games in a row...

Eagles find a way in the red zone...

Eagles 35
"Fish" 24.

Bonus: Eagles go 100% TD conversion in the red zone.  🤯

Kelly "Gang" Green will be in the house.

I brought this up last year when they lost to the jags. The Chargers are not a good running team. It been a one dimensional offense except for ekeler occasionally hitting a homerun. Their yards per carry average is deceiving with the chargers due to ekeler hitting a homerun every couple games.  espn had their run block win rate ranked 28th last year. Ekeler is a great pass catching back and can hit you a homerun here and there but they struggle with consistency running it. Makes keeping leads hard like the jaguars game in the playoffs. Basically have to throw the ball to keep the chains consistently moving and their oline is slater and a bunch of mediocre to below average guys with linsley their pro bowl center out.

I don't think Tua is going for 400 against this pass rush. That's a bit much. I'm actually hoping he doesn't get hurt because since that cast came off Reddick has been a menace.

Please, please, please do not rush Lane Johnson back.

@mattwill

Bonus -- Tua gets knocked out of game, Swift 100+ yards rushing

Tua is a Tebow clone, he stinks, always has. And people think Mike McDaniel is smart because he wears glasses and looks like a nerd. Licking my chops facing this team Sunday night.

Tua will likely have to get the ball out quickly but with Waddle and Hill I don't think that'll be a problem

If Carter gets ahold of Tua, that might be the end of Tua.

Combined record of the five teams the mighty Dolphins have beaten so far this year?  5 - 24

Eagles  27 - Dolphins 17

Put it in the book @mattwill

@mattwill can't go against Birds on KG night. Eagles win 34-28.

Bonus: Smith 100+ yards and 1+ TD

2023 NFL trade deadline proposed deals:

Eagles acquire S Justin Simmons

  • Eagles get: S Justin Simmons
  • Broncos get: 2024 second-round pick

Simmons remains a top-tier defensive back going on 30, but that also means he could net Denver its best haul via trade. The Eagles probably don't wanna spend so much for another older veteran in the secondary, but injuries have whittled them down there, and Simmons is at least signed through 2024. A potentially cheaper alternative: the Panthers' Jeremy Chinn.

Would prefer to send a 3rd at most, maybe another player like Marlon T or a late pick for a 30 yr old safety.

Nah

I love Justin Simmons. We'd be lucky to have him. But the only way a 2nd makes sense is if Denver want to eat some money. He has a 14.5M base salary this year and next year. So that's roughly a 10M 2023 cap hit and a 14.5M 2024 cap hit. If they're willing to eat 10M before trading to him to us, sure. That's it though.

Maybe swap the NO 2nd for the DEN 3rd (late 3rd round value), but a 2nd seems steep for a '23 rental/ '24 big cap hit.

Not sure if you're kidding or what, but that might be the dumbest thing I've ever read on the board.

Guy is the unanimous MVP at this point in the season.
