We have not been able to run the ball consistently since Cam Jurgens went out. That's 2 and 1/2 games worth. Opeta is fine as a pass blocker, but a bad run blocker. Driscoll is bad at both.

The other problem is that once Miami scores, we'll be incentivized to throw to catch up.

This is factually inaccurate.  They ran for 159 yards against the Rams.  Hurts was a big part of that... which bothers me, but Swift had 17 carries for 70 yards.  That's efficient.   And they didn't even try to run the ball against the Jets.   Had they committed to it, I have no doubt they'd have been successful given that the Jets were 29th coming in to the game.   The Eagles just decided not to try.  They were lulled into a false hope for passing the ball given the Jets' secondary personnel and Gardner being out.  It was a massive miscalculation and as much as anything else, serves as a primary reason for the loss in that game.

Knew they'd add a WR.

Did we really sign Julio?

That's what I just heard.

I didn't think Julio was 34/35, thought he was younger for some reason.

Welp... that effectively ends the season for Quez Watkins.  Barring other injuries, we may not see him suited up again this year.

Scott and Jones are two roster spots they don't have. Need to make some roster moves.

Need to bring back Riley Cooper or Hank Baskett to run block

I thought he was older, like 36/37.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Penny or Calcaterra be released as corresponding moves.

O/U number of catches he has this season: 5

Think the Eagles might finally release Penny, which would suck.

Hurts running the ball is just not the same as RB runs.

Runs: RBs only

WSH: 18 carries, 70 yards. 3.8 YPC
LAR: 24 carries, 84 yards. 3.63 YPC
NYJ: 14 carries, 33 yards, 2.36 YPC

Total: 56 carries, 187 yards, 3.34 YPC

That's really bad.

Albert O, trade someone like Marlon T

We don't need Penny anymore, we have Lew

Eagles legend, Julio Jones.

It's a low risk signing and I doubt it even does much for the team when we are looking back at it, but gotta give this move a:

D-

Should have been Larry Fitzgerald.

DeVonta Smith is barely getting the ball. Dallas Goedert can't get involved in the passing game. I've got it. Sign a mid-30s WR.

Calcaterra goes before Albert O. They won't just throw away a draft pick like that, no matter how late of a round it was.

The reason is simple. Right now their 4th and 5th WRs are Covey and Allen. Not NFL WRs.

I said the other day that they were definitely adding a WR. Thought it might be a trade, but this makes sense. Is Julio shot? Probably. But I'd take him on the field over Covey and Allen. There was zero chance they were going to move forward with those guys as their top depth at that position in a SB or bust season.
