He’s gonna. Kill it in the retro 2014 fantasy league.

DeVonta Smith is barely getting the ball.

Devonta led the team in targets against the Jets (11).

Had one massive drop, one bad drop and lost two other times at the catch point. He was baaaad on Sunday.

Julio Jones can run a professional football route and therefore Im good with this move.  Give me him over Quez any day.

I'm going to guess.... 1 year deal with 4 void years.  You know, for cap purposes.

A dead dog is better than Watkins.  Even Jason Peters at 55 years old would be an improvement over Driscoll.  It's hard to even describe how bad Driscoll is.  Can't believe that in the last four years Stoutland couldn't find/develop a backup RT better than than stiff.

Think the Eagles might finally release Penny, which would suck.

I still maintain my belief that they are holding onto him for later in the year.

I know he had the bad drops but 11 targets? I thought maybe like 6? That's surprising.

Jones is going to have to break the modern WR mold and wear #80. There's nothing left.

As a big body WR, I also wonder if they think he can help them in the red zone. Like Hakeem Butler, except with actual pedigree. Don't need to be spry to use your body down there.

He needs to pick a number quick so everyone can get their Julio Jones Kelly Green.

Wonder if he'll get 86

now if howie can follow that up with a DB signing , that would work.

Behind Zach Ertz's back!

They already have Brown and Goedert as big body receivers and don't even use them in the redzone lol

I’d be happy if julio just helps with our red zone offense issues

What you mean???

Oh no

Wonder if someone was cut or if someone is going to IR (Roby)

We are going to run so many incomplete fades to Julio in the red-zone...

Nothing inspires more than a 34 yr old WR.

Hurts running the ball is just not the same as RB runs.

Runs: RBs only

WSH: 18 carries, 70 yards. 3.8 YPC
LAR: 24 carries, 84 yards. 3.63 YPC
NYJ: 14 carries, 33 yards, 2.36 YPC

Total: 56 carries, 187 yards, 3.34 YPC

That's really bad.

I will concede Washington, which included Jurgens.  I will not concede the Rams or Jets, nor will I concede that Hurts' runs need to be discounted, because this team uses him so much, it has to be considered.  It's part of the offensive design.   Even in the Eagles' best rushing day this season, against the Vikings, Hurts still had 12 carries.  So, it can't be discounted when Hurts runs.   It's part of the equation.

And again, the Eagles didn't commit to running against the Jets, it was an afterthought.  It wasn't for lack of effectiveness, because they DID get some big runs.  But, they also had some sizeable losses, primarily Scott's -7 yard run at the goal line, which wasn't about the OL (though it was going to be a loss), but due to Scott retreating even further for no reason rather than just going down.

On the drive where the Eagles missed the FG... they were able to run the ball effectively, but didn't try often on that drive: 4 yard run (Swift), 12 yard run (Gainwell). Two designed runs... the next drive (where they had the INT), Swift had a 9 yard run... and then they were stagnated... Swift for 0, Gainwell for 1, Swift for 0.  But, here's the thing with the running game, if you don't use it during the whole game, you can't expect to rely on it at the end.  It was a horrifically bad game plan from start to finish.  It wasn't about personnel, it was about coaching and philosophy.  They went pass happy and it bit them in the ***... against the 29th ranked rush defense.  The Jets are vulnerable to the run, and the Eagles never really tried to beat them that way, even though they had the lead basically the entire game.  Shameful.
