What's not to like?  Last year with Brady he had 24 catches for 299 yards!

Silver linings, at his current pace this season that would take Quez Watkins 43 games

How can anyone not like today's moves?Jones is a major upgrade from Quez.  Also a veteran leader for wide receiver room could be valuable and having a  previous relationship with Brown. They are all still young. And I'd even say Josiah is an upgrade from anyone who's played the slot (filling in for Maddox) this year except for Roby, who's banged up. Howie shoring up obvious weaknesses here. Still need a trade for another safety, but like today's moves.

FYP, Agree. How can anyone not like Julio Jones in the slot, he catches the ball, versus Quez "I couldn't track an elephant in the snow" Watkins.

Bro I said safety not Julio Jones

Ring chasing and he can play the slot and catch

Also injured and 34 years old.

You all say I’m speed obsessed, but our offense is getting slower and slower.  Same shift happened after 2017 Super Bowl.  Offense got slower and slower, throwing windows tightened up, qb had to start playing hero ball into coverage, turnovers, the rest is history.

Hurts has been forcing it into all kinds of tight coverage with similar results.

Why not?

You’re why not.

Did not expect they will add to WR.  Jones is a proven WR and could be a reliable target for Hurts.  Problem is to spread the passes around for the recievers who all want the ball.

The secondary still needs help by the trading headline.  Howie better get things done and done right.

How did Roby even get hurt?

Why do so many people believe the lie that Julio Jones was ever good in the red zone?  It's been a black mark on his entire career.  Guy should have been a dominant freak in tight quarters, but he never was.

He put an Eagles jersey on against the Jets. Just doing that he had a 1 in 5 chance of getting hurt!

Don't you remember his incredible red zone catch against the Eagles in the playoffs?

I assume his role is to find the soft spot in coverage, park himself there, and catch the football.

That beats Watkins, who looks for the soft spot to land and drops the ball.

Miami allowing 141 rush yards a game as visiting team.  We should run 40 times at least.  I'd be happy with a 45-25 run/pass ratio.

If they want to win they better run and control that clock.

With the eagles bringing in Julio’s and back scott, the Phillies have decided to follow suit sign cole hamels and let chase utley DH tonight.

I suggested Julio Jones about a month ago.  My thinking at that time was move DeVonta Smith to the slot to upgrade Watkins, and let Julio work outside against single coverage.  He's not going to be getting 10-12 targets per game -- you just want a professional who's going to be ready when the targets do come his way.  A bit like Torrey Smith.

Tight coverage happens when you pose no threat to run the ball and can get pressure with 4 (due to Lane being out). Has nothing to do with speed of the wideouts. They get open consistently last game just had some terrible drops and misfortune.

Hurts has also missed some wide open receivers to make those tight coverage throws instead.  In other words, there's no reason for the hero ball... at least not nearly as much as he's been doing.  He needs to get the ball out on time, not pat it and pat it and then run to his right.

If we could get Jones at 2022 Suh level, that would be a big deal for the offense.

Eagles probably regret rushing him. Tough Rams matchup, then crappy playing surface. Not an ideal ramp up.

Not a terrible idea... I think Cole would be a good option for Game 4.  :P
