Imagine Henry giving Hurts the shove when running the ol' brotherly shove.

Imagine having Hurts and Henry in the backfield at the 5 yard line on 3rd and goal and they run a QB draw followed by a QB sneak.

This seems like a strange move from the NFL. Create so many rules to protect players during the off-season by limiting how much they can train, the equipment they can wear and so on but encourage them to play in competitive flag football games.  What happens when an NFL star tears their ACL in a game? Maybe their goal is to expose people to their favorite players playing flag football so they can slowly move that direction!

The US should give up its status as a sovereign nation if it doesn’t sleep walk it’s way to gold in that.

Things can get even worse when you are inspired by that play and result and use it when your season is on the line.

Watched some of the locker room interviews posted on the Eagles YouTube channel and I gotta say - Dave Zangaro is an annoying little runt and I would scoff at all his questions

Weird wording, he’s making it seem like he had some procedure done

Just keep him out another week, we don't need him to re-injure whatever it was after he gets toasted by tyreek

It’s very smart. All the offseason rules are designed to prevent injury because injuries to star players hurts their bottom line with no possibility of upside.

NFL players in Olympic flag football on the other hand has the potential to do for the NFL what the dream team did for basketball and the NBA.

From the owner’s perspective, who cares about an ACL to a star player within the context of taking the NFL global?

Hey I want Slay out there laughing and shaking his head every time he gets beat like always, if we're trying to run it back, we do everything the same as last year.

How soon they forget Robert Edwards.

I don’t agree with this. Flag football is not football football. That’s kinda like saying 3v3 half court in the Olympics could have made the NBA global, or slow pitch softball could have made the MLB global.

Ultimately, I think the NFL may just end up being flag football 30-40 years down the road but they’re two very different sports.

Owners will very much care if their star tears an ACL, and they should.

At the end of the day, theyd gladly give up a few torn ACLs if that means interest from China, Brazil, Europe, etc.   No problem at all there, who wants to tear their achilles first?

NFL is about money, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th priority

A lot of Jobe clips in the thread. Very positive.

CB4 (#1 backup outside CB) is in good shape.

The biggest priority for the owners is the financial health of their investment.  The literal job description for Goodell is to make the owners money.  Every decision the NFL makes is about extracting maximum financial gain from their product.  If player safety were a priority, they wouldn’t play a 17th game.  But guess what…if player safety were a priority for the players, they wouldn’t have agreed to a 17th game either.  But they did.

The international community has tepid interest in American football.  Despite anecdotal stories about a few passionate groups of fans here and there and some novelty sold out stadiums, there isn’t some unsatisfied craving for the sport.  They are going out of their way to cultivate a market that doesn’t really exist…again…so they can make more money.

But that’s all ok.  This is a game and this is a business.  That’s what guides decisions.

When Jobe is actually CB 4 it may be in good shape.

It could be something as mundane as in growing toe nail, but the wording makes it seem so much more mysterious.

We have to remember that Jobe has had few live fire snaps in the game, so there was always going to be a learning curve to playing series at a time.  We've seen bad CB play out there over the years and Jobe isn't standing out like that at all.

When was the last time this year he was cb4?  Feels like he’s been pulling starter snaps most of the year, maybe I’m wrong.
