Garner had 23 snaps at safety and wasn't a total black hole. Wonder what his upside is there - he's big, physical, decent speed (4.55) but can he process mentally?

I have no problem with Jobe, learning curve issues (especially being too "handsy") but shows CB skills. I think he could push to start down the road.

Interesting.  Had to watch the game over 2 days, but didn't notice him at all.  I guess speed wise, he's more aligned to Safety than CB?

Edmunds simply does nothing in our defense, so I'll take Brown and Garner over him.

It could be something as mundane as in growing toe nail, but the wording makes it seem so much more mysterious.

They (Eagles) called it a knee the whole time though.

It sure sounds like he was lost out there based on what I’ve read/heard from the tape grinders.

Sydney Brown might make a couple of noticeable plays because he goes 100 mph, but the Dolphins will use that against him.

Makes me wonder if he had a bakers cyst drained or something and maybe it was infected?

The Eagles were facing Zac Wilson.  I'm not sure we can take too much away from how he did on Sunday.  It's a nice thing that he wasn't horrible against the Jets, but the Jets' O and the Dolphins' O aren't remotely comparable.

I highly recommend that if you have an ingrown toe nail in your knee, that you have a medical professional deal with that immediately.

Genuinely think that's ok. They're going to get theirs no matter what, so we need big plays.

The secondary help we need.

By noticeable, I meant hard hitting tackles. I’m not sure he’s going to provide big plays. The Dolphins are going to give him so much eye candy he might go into sugar shock.

Yep.

I should add that not only was it Wilson, but the Jets’ JV offensive line.

They certainly could.  However, I would have to think that at this moment, Brown is still an unknown in the NFL.  I don’t think teams are exactly game planning around him just yet.

I liked garner in preseason.

Howie is out pf moves and not sure what to do to help the secondary.

The Dolphins haven't exactly been lighting it up against really good opposition.  Chargers, Patriots, Broncos, Giants and Panthers are their wins -- those teams are a combined 5 wins and 24 losses.  They got curb-stomped by the Bills.  Common opponent so far was the Patriots, both at Foxboro -- Dolphins won 24-17 and Eagles won 25-20.

I guess what folks are scared of is the Dolphins pass offense against the Eagles pass defense.  Obviously, Hill will be a problem but that's what Desai gets paid for.  He'll get his catches, but the test will be to keep him out of the end zone.

I still like the Eagles chances at home.

This is a good game for young DBs to take their lumps.

I'll be happy to limp into the bye week, find out which kids can contribute, and get every healthy for the stretch run and fix problems with schemes.

Eagles have shown they can win on the road, they're good enough when healthy to beat anyone, anywhere.

Hopefully he is focused on bracketing Hill
