I’m not really a big play calling critic, but that drive 100% killed itself due to play calls.  They went up the gut with Gainwell and let Hurts just take hits at the LOS by design.

I think you are allowed to jump over him as long you

1) don't line up directly over him

2) don't get a running start from off the LOS

3) don't use him or anyone else to spring board over him

I don’t mind playing for the FG, but why expose your QB to unnecessary injury risk?!

Also, why call a play where you don’t let your all century level OL to go down hill against a gassed defense?

It makes no sense. Hand the ball to a RB, there is a decent chance he breaks it for a TD, and no risk to the QB.

Yup.   The Eagles will need to recover an onside kick... and the offense might need to get a first down.

 

 

Defense needs to keep everything in bounds and in front of them.   Make them move it slowly.
