Don't tell Goodell and the Competition Committee, they'll get ideas.

3 yards & a cloud of dust is football.

I see a lot of people saying this, particularly about Steichen and Gannon. But it's the owners who have the vote, not the coaches. Hard to know if Gannon and/or Steichen's stances are that they're fine with the play but their owners feel differently.

Didn’t McDermott actually claim the play causes injuries? I’m sure if these coaches supported the play I highly doubt their owners would be against it.

Yes he did...he stated that but he actually uses the play. So, why would a coach state that it's risky for injury yet run it 2nd most in the league? That just doesn't add up.

Apparently the latest word on the street is that it's the league office that wants the play banned and they're trying to influence teams to speak out against it. So, with McDermott and Buffalo, they're probably trying to "tow the line" for the NFL and possibly not actually feel that way about the play.

He looks worse now. I mean how can he run this play after claiming it could hurt players? I’m and the rest of the league just look soft. Can’t beat it on the field so they tried to do it in an office. If the Patriots with Brady were running this play nobody would have said anything.

In fact, they did say something...but praised it.

Barkley joined "Exciting Mics" podcast with Reed and Coop. Called the attempt to ban the play soft, and Coop asked him if he had 30 seconds in an elevator with Roger Goodell what would he say about why the play shouldn't be banned.

I like Bills and their fanbase but that's pretty hypocritical

My guess is they outlaw this play after this season because the refs arnt able to officiate it properly...too much false start and offsides...and they cant see fumbles or takeaways

The incessant ****ing about this play was something else. Dean Blandino sounded like a whiny little **** at the end

They'll just run a traditional qb sneak and still get it
