Hunting for a Tackle
time2rock ·Hunting for a Tackle Posted: March 19th, 2025 | Author: Tommy Lawlor The Eagles have the best pair of offensive tackles in the league. Lane Johnson will be in Canton once he retires. Jordan Mailata isn’t on that level, but he’s an above average starter. As good as Johnson and Mailata are, teams need depth. Halapoulivaati Vaitai was the starting LT in Super Bowl LII. Last year Fred Johnson started 6 games, playing both LT and RT. I thought the Eagles might bring Johnson b

Could Hollin Pierce be the next undrafted free agent to crack the Eagles' roster?
time2rock ·Could Hollin Pierce be the next undrafted free agent to crack the Eagles' roster? Pierce, the big offensive tackle from Rutgers, has traits that could make him a good fit for 'Stoutland U.' By Geoff Mosher PhillyVoice Staff Mark J. Rebilas/Imagn Images Rutgers Scarlet Knights offensive lineman Hollin Pierce (72) against the Kansas State Wildcats during the Rate Bowl at Chase Field. An undrafted free agent doesn’t make the Eagles roster every year. Some years, like last season, none make it. B

Master of the Depth Chart?
Arthur Jackson ·@OCEaglefan 's Master of the Draft is a pretty cool feature and was fun to watch even though I got spit out the first round . I thought it may be interesting to have a similar contest for predicting the depth chart, winner gets a photo of me wearing nothing but fur coolats and holding an armadillo. I was trying to figure out how this could work and the rules, etc. Obviously it doesn't make much sense to do it in "rounds" because ultimately the team's official roster will be the final arbiter.

Draft is Over but Roster Building is Not - Remaining FAs and Trade Targets
EaglesAddict ·As Howie always says, he is always building the roster. It doesn't end after the initial FA period and the draft. Who could be the next Eagles via remaining FA or trade target? After seeing Atlanta draft Walker and Pearce in Round 1, I went to look at their roster. They seem to have a surplus of Edge/OLB types. I correlated that with past top-30 visits with the Eagles and came up with 2 possible targets from Atlanta that would make sense: Arnold Ebiketie - 6' 2", 250 lbs OLB from Penn Stat

By Dave Zangaro • Published May 2, 2025 The Eagles last week drafted 10 players who will have varying roles during their rookie seasons in 2025. Early Eagles 53-Man Roster Prediction
JamesK ·Dave Zangaro published an early prediction of the Eagles' 53-man roster. It is early, but it's not that early when you think about it... Link to article: Early Eagles 53-Man Roster Prediction I agree with a lot of it, but I think they'll keep more than two 2 TEs. I doubt Bryce Huff gets cut, too... Here is a summary: QB (3): Jalen Hurts, Tanner McKee, Kyle McCord Running back (3): Saquon Barkley, AJ Dillon, Will Shipley Fullback (1): Ben VanSumeren Receiver (5): A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith,

NFL teams are starting to draft like the Eagles do, hoping to see the same results
time2rock ·NFL teams are starting to draft like the Eagles do, hoping to see the same results It looks like other teams are starting to prioritize offensive and defensive linemen to build their rosters. By Geoff Mosher PhillyVoice Staff Eric Canha/Imagn Images Howie Roseman There’s a phrase among NFL Draft media and some NFL personnel folks that pertains to a specific kind of draft strategy. The adage is "eating your vegetables,” and it’s an analogy intended to paint a picture of how successful teams b

Inside the Draft
time2rock ·Inside the Draft Posted:May 4th, 2025 |Author:Tommy Lawlor The NFL Draft is a fascinating event. We spend months watching prospects, studying team needs and trying to figure out who teams like. We make some educated predictions, but these are just educated guesses. We don’t fully know what teams are thinking until after the picks. The Eagles put out their annual video showing behind the scenes draft clips. The first thing that jumped out to me was how the Eagles tried to trade up multiple tim

Board technical issues

He (and I, to a lesser extent) has worked his butt off over the past week to make this happen. In between scrambling to get all the new registrations validated and checking reports, I'll be looking in

Closer Look – Kyle McCord
time2rock ·Closer Look – Kyle McCord Posted: May 6th, 2025 |Author: Tommy Lawlor The Eagles have a great 1-2 combo at QB with Jalen Hurts and Tanner McKee. They acquired Dorian Thompson-Robinson in a trade this offseason, but DTR is far from a sure thing. He has struggled during his time in the NFL. It wasn’t a surprise that the Eagles drafted a QB. The interesting part was them picking Kyle McCord. What did they see in McCord that made them choose him? McCord was a five-star recruit coming out of St. J

I joked with Jimmy that someone should make a failed linebackers quilt for the Eagles. It would be a way to remember all the has beens, never wasses and mediocre players that patroled the middle of the Eagles defense for the past decade or so. Who remembers Eric Wilson? Shaun Bradley would have been a great story since he was from Temple, but he just

Three new beasts for the OL
Procus ·I was disappointed to see Mekhi Becton leave the Eagles. But really feeling some love for the front office for what it pulled off this weekend. The Eagles built a monster Super Bowl winning offensive line, 2/5 of which were outright projects - both of whom being massive individuals. Jordan Mailata whose rugby tape speaks for itself, was transformed in unprecedented fashion into an All-Pro caliber left tackle. Mekhi Becton was a successful reclamation project of a failed OT due to injury and

Just shut the F up and let Hurts and Siriani do their thing
opa-opa ·Sorry but I just need to rant. Who cares about style points in the playoffs? The Eagles are on a mission. They have the #1 defense in the NFL. It's not a fluke. They have at least 4 Pro Bowlers on that D and they have shut down top offenses week after week. So it's not a fluke. So Siriani and Hurts are managing this team like you would a team that has the #1 defense and #1 rushing offense. ie run the ball and don't turn the damn ball over. We're never going to beat anyone in a shootout. Our wins
