EMB Blog: 2026 Offseason
Connecticut Eagle ·Offense: Get a seasoned play caller. Elevate the complexity of the passing game and start installing it in the Spring. Fortify the depth of the offensive line. This includes the heir at RT. Get tight ends who can block. Defense: Upgrade CB2 and add depth to the secondary. Contracts: Sign Phillips and maybe bring back one of Ojulari/Okoronkwo/Uche. Let Goedert, Blankenship, and Dean walk. I haven't figured out what to do about extending Carter, Davis, Ojomo, and Nolan. Pending free agen -

Has AJ Brown Played His Last Game in an Eagles Uniform?
time2rock ·Curious to know what everyone thinks is going to happen with AJ this offseason. Does he get traded? Seems he was pretty checked out all season and was never more obvious than the WC game this past weekend. Maybe it is time for a change in scenery for him? Maybe they feel his attitude is disrupting team chemistry too much? Or do you think he is back, either because most of that nonsense seems to be overblown or just because the salary cap ramifications make it extremely difficult to do so (o -
I don't get the trade for Wicks
Rob331 ·A 5th and a next year 6th for a guy who was a 5th and hasn't really shined. I get it that Manion has experience with him, but so what. Just look at the Eagles WR romm as it stands and tell me how it adds up. AJ is still here, but let's assume he won't be. DeVonta Smith will be our #1 and they signed Wicks for 2027 so the only sure things are DeVonta's status and that Wicks will be here. Returning we have - Darius Cooper, Britain Covey, Danny Gray, Johnny Wilson, and Quez Watkins Then there

A Special Secondary
time2rock ·A Special Secondary Posted April 5th, 2026 The Eagles only made one significant offseason addition, signing cornerback Riq Woolen away from Seattle. This move got its share of praise, but still feels like it has been overlooked because of all the focus on AJ Brown and other hot button issues. Woolen has great size at 6-4, 210. He ran a 4.26 at the Combine back in 2022 so he has elite speed. He’s started 53 games in the NFL and generally played at a high level. He has 12 career INTs and 53 PDs. -

time2rock ·The new league year officially starts next week (March 11th) and the "legal tampering period” starts exactly one week from today (March 9th). We’ve already seen announcements of some trades that will be made official on March 11th (e.g. Montgomery traded by Lions to the Texans). Will use this thread to capture all Eagles-related free agency signings (players we sign, our own that sign elsewhere) and any trades we make. ___________________________________________________________________________ -

time2rock ·Eagles 2026 draft: Will Howie Roseman trade up, trade back, or stay put at pick No. 23? Does history suggest the Eagles are more likely to trade up, or back in the first round of the NFL Draft later this month? By Jimmy Kempski PhillyVoice Staff Kirby Lee/Imagn Images Jihaad Campbell became the seventh player Howie Roseman has traded up for in the first round. As any casual follower of the Philadelphia Eagles knows, Howie Roseman tends to make a lot of first round trades in the draft. In 2026 -
General Draft Talk
time2rock ·General Draft Talk Posted April 8th, 2026 As we get closer to the draft we will start to hear more and more inside info. Some of this will be BS. Teams like to float some stuff out there hoping that other teams will pick it up and buy it. But there will also be some good info that is worth keeping in mind. You might wonder how info gets out there. Scouts love to talk football. Sometimes that is with each other, sometimes it is with members of the media that they’ve built good relationships wit -

Who runs the defense post Fangio?
Procus ·It's a valid point of concern. Credit the team for having a dominant D pretty much throughout the Sirianni era save a couple of big hiccups in 2023. Many thought that Christian Parker may have been the heir apparent to Fangio. Perhaps. And there were rumblings that Jim Schwartz might come back to the fold. But Schwartz does run a different scheme and that would require mucking with the roster, perhaps more than the team would like. For my money, I'd keep my eye on Mike Pelligrino. He oversaw a -
Jalen Hurts gets the defense Eagles fans have been waiting for from Dan Orlovsky
time2rock ·Jalen Hurts gets the defense Eagles fans have been waiting for from Dan Orlovsky Brian Cass April 8, 2026 Jalen Hurts has become one of the easiest targets in football media, and at this point, it feels like people are just saying crap to say it. Every few days, somebody with a microphone or a mystery "source” wants to re-open the same tired debate about whether Hurts is really elite, whether he’s holding the Eagles back, whether he’s as good as his résumé says he is, and on and on it goes. -

Cam Jurgens - Went to Colombia for treatment
JamesK ·I just had a minimally invasive decompression procedure for my back. The purpose was to relieve severe stenosis at L4-L5, which was due to a herniated disc. They drilled two holes into my vertebrae and pulled out matter that was impinging on my central nervous system. So far, it looks like a success. My life will get back to normal, but here's the big difference. I'm not a center in the NFL. Now I'm not sure what's going on with Cam, but I can say for sure the procedure I had was relatively min -

Misc Draft Talk
time2rock ·Misc Draft Talk Posted April 3rd, 2026 There hasn’t been a whole lot of Eagles related draft news recently so let’s talk about a variety of things. We’ll start with some mock draft thoughts. I look at mock drafts as thought experiments. What if this happened? What if the Eagles took that player? We know unexpected things happen so it isn’t ideal to shoot down every mock draft that you don’t like. A lot of the mocks I’ve seen have the Eagles taking an OL. That makes total sense. They need someo

Inside Eagles' 2025 friction as Jalen Hurts stands at crossroads
EaglesAddict ·THE PLAY WAS supposed to save the season. Instead, it encapsulated its pain. The Philadelphia Eagles were teetering, poised for a Jenga-like collapse in front of a fatalistic home crowd scarred from a challenging 2025 season of offensive football. With 43 seconds left in a wild-card playoff game against the San Francisco 49ers, offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo fiddled with his red pen, scanning the play sheet. Quarterback Jalen Hurts stood in front of him, leaning in to speak to his playcalle

Tackle Talk
time2rock ·Tackle Talk Posted March 26th, 2026 Les Bowen has covered Philly sports for a long time. He’s so old that he even pre-dates Brandon Graham coming to Philly and that’s really saying something. One of Les’s best attributes is that he can be one hell of a devil’s advocate. Les has been arguing with some fans on Twitter about the Eagles getting a good offensive tackle at pick 23. Les is thinking the Eagles should be aggressive to get a top tackle and not just sit at 23 and see who drops there. H -
