Are we finally gonna see Penny again?

Just saw a report stating Steen is getting first team reps and Jurgens might not be ready to play yet. I guess Opeta got benched regardless.

They need to find a solution at RG because it's very likely that Jurgens is the starting C next season. Opeta had a chance to get the spot, if Steen also stinks it means they're going to need to fill that spot in FA next year.

Yes.  He was drafted to be the future at RG ... will be a good test to see where he is at now that he has had a half a season to get up to speed (and a full week to prepare with the starting unit).

We've faced other teams trotting out makeshift lines and we didn't wreck 'em like we all thought we would, so that gives me even more confidence that he'll do fine (especially considering he has the best OL coach in the NFL getting him ready).

That certainly helps.

We need him back ASAP!  The run game has suffered since he’s been out.

I've always felt Steen would eventually win the job at RG.

Steen wasnt perfect but that was a good start. He saved the game with that fumble recovery.

The loss of Jurgens combined with the injury to Hurts has definitely hurt the run game. A week off should help Jalen heal some and hopefully get Jurgens fully ready to go.

  • 2 weeks later...
