Possible trade target

Throw Brian Burns in there to and make Howie president.

It seems at this point like this is likely to happen.

Should be a done deal

Got to get it done! That secondary needs talent and we need to get healthy.

What do we think would get him? 5th and a 6th?

4th at most? Barnett and a 6th?

If that's the case we should go for Burns as well. Carolina is full fire sale mode. Maybe throw an additional 3rd in there?

Burns won't go anywhere imo

Well Carolina can get something now or nothing later and they need to recoup picks after last yrs trade.

Why do you think he stays? Just curious

If they do trade him, it'll be more than a 3rd rd pick. I think they come to terms on an extension

I'd offer a 2nd at most but I at least inquire if I'm Howie.

I'm pretty sure he did last year. There was a report that a "team" offered a 1st rd pick for him last year and they declined

Did not know that. You think the Reich connection or their draft situation post Young trade changes anything?

Burns is the best player on that team. I think they try to recoup some picks back after trading up for Young but I don't think they get rid of their best player. Especially since the defense has been the best part of their season thus far

Burns is not a need on this team. Good player, but we don't need him. We obviously have been looking for answers in the secondary and right now, that's the only area we should be looking for in a trade.

Also, for those suggesting Barnett to Carolina, that just wouldn't make much sense on their part. "Fire sales" are not about trading for players.

Burns and Chinn would be great additions but Burns would want mega money

Yup, Burns is 25 years old and has 42 sacks in a shade over 4 years, he's one of the keystones you rebuild around, he's the last player they'd trade.

I see he's out 6 wks w a quad injury. I guess that means on to the next for now...

Possible Howie prove it deal in the off season

If we send them Barnett they will probably want a first not a sixth
