Posted October 16, 20231 yr I'll start by saying there's a full point difference between the MGM line I use for this thread (Eagles -1.5) and most of the other books, which are -2.5. MGM opened at 2.5 then dropped a point overnight, while most other books held steady. Anyway, this obviously a huge game, at home in Prime Time. The Dolphins are tough as nails to bet against and come into the game with an impressive 5-1 record both SU and ATS. Going back into last year, the Dolphins are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 games. 4 of their 6 games have gone over the total. Meanwhile, the Eagles are 3-2-1 ATS and 3-3 over/under. 52.5 is the highest total on the NFL card next week. Lots to watch as the week unfolds, but the Eagles are dinged up and not playing well. Dolphins +130 on the moneyline is a worth a look. Line: Eagles -1.5/2/2.5 Total:52.5 Moneyline: Eagles -130/Dolphins +110
October 16, 20231 yr Hurts going up against the better qb that got him kicked off the team in alabama. Yeeesh should be a fun one.

October 17, 20231 yr I always root for the other teams in division when its not against my team. I hope you guys take some revenge for us! They had our number 2 weeks ago.

October 20, 20231 yr Author The line remains -2.5 as the weekend arrives, with the total at 51.5 after dropping a point. The sharps seem to be playing the under, which has been the trend all season. Unders are hitting at a startling 60% clip league-wide this season; last week alone 12 games went under, 1 over and 2 pushed. The 51.5 is still high, inflated by the perception that Miami is a scoring machine.
October 20, 20231 yr I say again, Miami conceded 82 points across the 2 games they've played so far against teams that aren't having their worst start to a season in decades, their wins are against the Giants (worst start to a season in ten years), Panthers (worst start ever), Broncos (worst start in 30 years), Patriots (worst start in 28 years). Their other win was a 2 point squeak against the Chargers in which they got gifted a field goal by the dumbest PI I've ever seen in all my life, the CB grabbing the receiver despite having 2 safeties covering behind him as time literally expired in the first half. They're not an unstoppable juggernaut.

But they are a team that I fear most in the NFL due to their high scoring offense and the speed they have. They aren’t the best team in the NFL but they are one that I fear most.
October 20, 20231 yr I would expect a Miami win and for their Offense to destroy the Iggles Secondary.
