November 21, 20231 yr Have to give Desai credit. He's had injuries and poor play even from veterans in the secondary and he's managed to make adjustments and close out games strong in the 2nd half. Everyone was scared of the Dolphins and Chiefs: 0 points in the 2nd half of those games.

December 5, 20231 yr Desai still > Gannon LBs are trash, the veteran corners aren't what they used to be, injuries along the D line, we only have 2 Defensive Ends, the LBs are trash, the safeties are average at best and oh, the LBs are trash. Desai has a lot to work on, but he's better than Gannon.
December 5, 20231 yr The d-line is getting nowhere near the pressure they were last year as well. They currently have 34 sacks (tied 12th) while the Ravens are first with 47. They had 70 last year and are on track for 48 this season. That's a significant drop off from the front 4

The secondary also looked better because the line was collapsing quicker and causing more pressure. They lost Hargrave and haven't been able to replace that interior presence or production. Cox and Graham are showing their age and can't play as many snaps and be effective, Sweat and Williams have regressed, Carter has slowed down as the season has gone on and Davis is a run stuffer but isn't going to provide the same pass rushing threat on the interior. Reddick is the only guy that looks like he can get consistent pressure since the cast has come off. If these guys can start hitting the QB on a more consistent basis then the secondary will look better. I don't know if it is scheme, talent or guys just running out of steam and being tired. Sweat has had 1 sack and 0.5 stuffs (I assume this is their tackle for loss stat) in the last 5 games. Carter has had 0.5 sacks and 2.5 stuffs, Davis has had 0.5 sacks and 3 stuffs, Cox has had 1.5 and 1. Reddick has had 4 sacks and 1.5 stuffs which means he has more sacks than the other 4 combined. I'd like to see the hits and pressure stats to help confirm this as well
