Posted November 22, 20231 yr Wishing you and yours a lovely holiday. Want to share a story with you. This morning my car wouldn't start. Alerted work that I would need to log on from home. Called the mechanic a little after 8am. He came by with his battery thingy and took my car to his shop (less than 1 mile away), installed a new battery and also did my oil change. Car repaired in less than 3 hours. He is absolutely the sweetest guy. Having such people in my life since Mr. Di is not here to help me brought me to tears this morning. I trust you all will find something or someone to be Thankful for. Go Birds!!! 9-1. Bring on the Bills.

November 22, 20231 yr Cooking Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow will be a bit of a challenge now. My oven died on me back around August and I've been trying to get the new one installed basically ever since. Though I did take my time researching to pick out the one that I thought would be best. One thing after another though, has delayed Lowe's from getting it installed. The installation was all set to happen today between 2 and 5 PM (the third appointment for install). JUST in time for Thanksgiving, right? Well, they called this afternoon and said that their installer had a 'family emergency' and can't install anything today. I figure that the 'emergency' is probably the need for a 5 day weekend for Thanksgiving, but emergencies do happen so I can't be too angry (just in case it is a true family emergency). So, no oven for Thanksgiving. Not a super huge problem, but a bit of an annoyance. The turkey (breast only) will be cooked in the slow cooker. For some of the side dishes, I'll either have to forego them entirely or try to cook them in my little toaster oven.
November 23, 20231 yr Thank you Di. Happy Thanksgiving to you as well. Looking forward to after dinner

November 23, 20231 yr For those not on the blog, I’ll repost: Speaking of….fun Thanksgiving story from today. I’ve already had to go to the grocery store twice to pick up some sheet I forgot. I’ve lived in my house for about 5 years now, and I pass through the same neighborhood every single time I drive to the store. I have 2 daughters and a bougie wife so I drive to the store almost every day. I’ve made it a point for 5 straight years to roll down my window, and scream "Cowboys suck” at the one house that has a Cowboys flag hanging outside of it. Today, on my 2nd trip back, and coincidentally wearing my hoodie with Ben Franklin peeing on the Dallas star, I screamed at that same house while the guy was standing outside, and he physically chased my car after I screamed "Dallas SUUUUCKS!!!” Haha - what a loser! Happy Thanksgiving 🦃 a-holes!!

LOL I'm glad somebody did I spent all day looking at this gym bench on Amazon that I'll never buy... simply because of the suggestive way the young lady is posing. Do you have any idea what kind of sick, lonely creature does something like that?
