The defense is in a rebuild. Thought that was pretty clear. Patch work with vets.

I have a question - does anyone know if Dean is expected back for the playoffs?  If we have Cunningham, Dean and Leonard, we should be ok this year.

Don't disagree one bit.  But this wasn't an issue in pervious years so they didn't have a need to change their strategy.  Maybe next year they will. In general, I like this idea of tying up your money in the d-line and cornerback...but you have to have execution with the linebackers and safeties.

 

And to be completely fair, they did use some pretty good draft capital on Nakobe Dean...who hasn't really panned out.

I think he is technically eligible to come back as soon as the Seahawks game.  That being said lis franc is a tough injury to get to heal properly....I suspect he may be done for the entire season. 

Looking forward to seeing if this guy still has some game.  #52 is back too so we may have solved our LB problem somewhat.

I did see him out there and apparently he played 14 snaps. But I don't recall him making any plays.

He was signed a few days before the game, what did you expect?  He has to travel, make living arrangements, get into the facility, get the playbook, catch up with team meetings, get a physical, start walk throughs and get used to everything.

He almost killed one member of the chain crew flying to hit one of the Dallas players as they were being tackled out of bounds.
