Well, LB is a desperate need. Let's see what he can do.

Now go get Suh, Ertz, and get Frank to be a consultant

So how much does he have left in the tank? Dean and Cunningham will be back for the playoffs but Ellis just doesn't look ready to be out there every down and was exploited in pass coverage

Dean isn't it.

Not in any way gonna be a "savior", but it's hard to imagine him being worse than what was on display yesterday.  Of course, he might not be any better, either.  It's a move they had to make at this point.

He's got to be better than morrow and ellis.

I would hope so. Morrow hasn't really looked good since that Commanders game where he had 11 tackles and 3 sacks.

Remember when people said he was waiting to see who won our game, and if we lost he would sign with Dallas?

Apparently, he took less money than Dallas offered too.

The guy was cut by a playoff contending team

He probably realized how much he was ACTUALLY needed watching that game.😂😂😂😂 probably reached out to Siri like "oh, you were SERIOUS, serious?”

LBs we have now, were cut from our own practice squad?🤷🏽‍♂️

Glad he chose us.  Coming just at the right time for this Playoff push. Welcome Mr. Leonard.

Who knows what he'll be like in green but I can't imagine it would be anything less than Ellis and Morrow...or Dean

It's December.  The Eagles have crap at LB and injuries to the guys that are any decent.  What else do you want them to do?

You're spinning it like he's trash and a playoff contender doesn't need him.  He was recovering from injury and had reduced snaps because they have a rising star that replaced him and he wasn't happy.  They Colts also wanted to save money on what they'd owe him.

Leonard starts immediately.

This guy's agent is brilliant.  Probably figured we would get shellacked by San Fran and waited until the day after to double the price 😄

Well he took less money to play here, Dallas apparently offered him more.

He was frustrated with his reduced playing time and then the Colts were going to make him inactive.  I'm guessing he wanted to go where he'd get more playing time.

Seth Joyner could start at LB for us, the LBs are terrible.

Good.

Best available option.

Nice

Gotta try something. He can't be any worse than what we already have.

Be prepared:  this guy is not the savior of the defense or a huge signing.  They have trash at LB and the guys that are half decent are hurt. This is going after what decent scraps are available in December.

But you know guys are going to whine and complain that he's not dominating in Dallas after a few days and a couple practices with the team.

We'll see ... I don't have huge hopes, but can he really be any worse than Nicholas "I have zero instincts" Morrow? A 75% Shaq may still be 25% better than Morrow. All we need of Shaq is to be an improvement on Morrow as the #2 ... that's not a huge ask. Cunningham will be back next game, so it's not like we need Shaq right away.

Crazy....the man just gets it done.

He obviously is a different player post surgeries/injuries.  Nerve damage is a different animal than ligaments and tendons.  I do have some faith that they’ve vetted him and determined that 60,70 percent Shaq is better than what we have on the roster.  And, who knows, maybe the prognosis is good for his explosion to return after a full recovery.

Here’s to hoping that the FO is starting to see the light after and will take a hard look at Trotter, Jr in the draft and maybe see if Hurts can restructure/tweak his contract a bit to free up some space for better defensive players on the back end when free agency starts.

Eagles had to do something to address the defense, and can’t fault them for taking a chance with a former 3 time All Pro linebacker, even if he has no feelings in his extremities
