You can take a LB off the field and run 5 down, with 6 DBs with a safety as faux LBer if you have to and play more match. I don’t know how many times I have to say this, if your linebackers are terrible, why are you calling a zone where he’s responsible for the entire middle of the field by himself. Cover 4 pads the sidelines and deep, leaving one lonely linebacker to patrol crossing routes, high-lows, running backs, fitting run gaps. There’s not a linebacker in this world who’s going to excel in that, especially against Kittle, McCaffery, and Deebo. If we’re going to keep running this terrible defense the safeties need to play a few yards closer to the LOS and start forcing some throws into traffic.

Honestly, neither defense played well in the last SB, which could've been attributed to the crappy field.

I thought there was a possibility they could lose 2 games before getting to the below .500 part of the schedule. Cant afford to lose anymore NFC games. Going to need to take care of business on the road and beat down these sub .500 teams after.

Predictable.  Vanilla.  Just down right lack of creativity.  Everyone that supports Johnson says look at the points per game!  I say that is more based on the sheer talent on offense between Hurts, Swift, O-Line, Brown, Smith, Goedert, etc. rather than Brian Johnson doing anything creative or game changing.  I don't know what the answer is there, but if they don't start mixing it up, putting more people in motion, running the ball more, etc., well then I don't think any of it matters.  I've begged, that on a 3rd and 1, line up for the tush push with AJ and Smith on each side of hurts like they are going to push him, hike the ball and have Hurts drop back sending the two WR's streaking down the field on both sides.  Even if you throw it away, you are still at 4th and 1 and you do the actual tush push.

I'm not sure Johnson is the biggest issue,  this offense is a lot like Siri's first year before Steichen started calling plays, if you remember we had Hurts passing a ton and barely using Sanders, then Steichen took over mid season and totally rebalanced, Hurts was suddenly throwing 24 passes rather than ~35 and we had a proper running game.

I wonder how much the play calling is pure Brian Johnson, because it looks a lot like Siri.

 

After signing the LB, is he on the roster or PS?  If former, no corresponding move to make a spot for him?  Or there is an existing opening already?

Nor sure what impact Leonard will have but it's fun to see the cowboys fan reactions.  Last week.. " He's the missing piece, SB here we come". This week. " He's washed up. Will have zero impact on the Eagles"

I don't think people would be "losing their minds" if it was a close loss.  I think it was because it was an embarrassing blowout loss at home.

Haha I guess that depends on your definition of "losing their minds".  I personally don't consider complaining about playcalling in a close win or loss as losing your mind.

They have to cut somebody or have some phantom injury where the guys ends up on IR.  My guess is Albert O gets cut if no phantom injury somewhere.  Julio probably should get the heave ho but that would be a bad look.  All they ask the guy to do is block.
