Posted November 29, 20232 yr Eagles blitzed Bills' Josh Allen on 17 of 52 pass plays (32.7%) Sunday. Sent 5 rushers after him 11 times and 6 rushers 6 times. Not much success with it. Allen was 13-for-17 for 164 yards when Eagles sent extra rushers. Is it just me or do almost all the blitzes seem like they are delayed blitzes that just don't get there in time. What's the matter with lining everyone up at the line and add the pressure to the offense. Here we come stop us. And you can always drop back off the blitz if you want an element of surprise.

Yea..I don't know if they are delayed blitzes or not. More like they are clueless on how to dial up a blitz. By the time the blitzer even makes contact with the line the ball was already out. Its like the LB is playing 10 yards back. They might as well not blitz if they are going to be lazy and sloppy about it.
November 29, 20232 yr I'm glad someone started this thread .... We rarely blitzed last year, and we paid the price in the Super Bowl ... IMHO we will be well served to figure out what works and who the best blitzers are now ... Josh Allen is a freak ,so just because we couldn't get him to the ground doesn't mean it wasn't somewhat affective, he clearly had less time ... we cant just let QB's sit back there and scan the field ,,, we are getting beat that way I hope we blitz the whiners all day ... Purdy needs be helped off the field

I wouldn't say they blitzed with not much success, they got there but Allen is just so damn hard to get on the ground. They need to do the same ting with Purdy. while he's mobile, if you get a hand on him he's on the ground.
