Johnson isn't willing to have the runners do the hard yards to open up the game later on and it's killing us Tonight, we're constantly going for chunk plays rather than taking what the defense is giving us.

True. Howie also never gets a true Power back. He had Blount for a year and won it all. It makes a difference.

Sf run plays gaining 6-7 yards were getting 3 yards!

They started failing early in the 2nd. Playing way off when the Niners were back in their own zone. Abandoning the run and Jalen wasting valuable time passing to nowhere, getting sacked, or sacking himself. Mostly self inflicted wounds that are extremely difficult to overcome. No aggression defensively. No risk taking. All the stuff they usually get away with caught up to them with a vengeance.
