Then behind that on medium/short distance you have your DBs 7-10 yards away from anyone not affecting the offense. Then you decide to blitz, but have your DBs so far off the QB/WR just play pitch and catch. 
 

This scheme and coordinator are foolish garbage.

Let the niner meat riding begin- Cowherd, Olsen, Wright, etc. It will be non-stop until the end of the season and if and when we beat them in the playoffs.

We can't blame the refs because we've seen it go in the Eagles' favor too. That's a cop out. The Birds just flat out sucked today. Out played and out coached.

The way the eagles have been playing and seeing qbs like Purdy/Howell light them up it wouldn’t surprise me if they struggle to beat them. 

The defense is a problem.  I think it’s clear they won’t be winning anything this year.  Sucks.

I feel bad for Kelce if it goes down to a one and done season.

When they brought the blitz Purdy torched them. They really didn't do anything special... just consistently got good matchups on the LBs. I swear they ran the same damn looking play several times swinging it to a guy out of the backfield and the D had no answers.

Terrible loss but not the end of the Universe.   Eagles were on a crazy run.  Seasons far from over.  5 games left, let's finish with a 3rd 5 Game Winning Streak.  The Eagles had  2 game lead on the Conference.   They built up some wiggle room but now they will have to finish strong to maintain the #1 Seed.

Yeah it definitely was evident that the legs were tired.  The schedule makers can eat a bag!  This schedule has been brutal honestly.  

The first offensive drive when they had Brown run a slant was the best we looked all game, I need Johnson to tell me why the rest of the game was Jalen Hurts standing still for 10 seconds waiting for something to develop downfield, it's OK to play dink and dunk if that's all that's there, you don't need a home run 20+ yards every play.

Now I've got to hear why Brock Purdy throwing 6 yards to Deebo Samuel to run for 50 after the catch is the greatest QB in the NFL every time I put a sports channel on this week.

Let AJ and Smitty try and get some yards after catch every now and then.

 

Defense hasn't been able to get off the field all season unless the other team dropped a pass or the QB threw an errant ball.

What happens when the other team doesn't drop passes or throw errant balls?

We get destroyed.

Now Nick can put that hubris in check and realize his coordinators are garbage.

Further, beyond the D-line this defense has never come together like many said they would by this time of the year. This defense is so lacking in talent and the supposed talented CBs are washed!

 

I dunno guys, im starting to feel that maybe Nicholas Morrow is not the answer.

Yup who puts this many quality teams back to back. The schedule makers sure knew what they were doing.

Yeah, we lost and the Niners were the better team tonight. That sucked. But have a sense of perspective. There are a lot of good teams in the league. We've beaten most of them through the year. Teams never go undefeated, that Miami season was an aberration, even ending the regular season with four defeats is usually enough for a round one bye.  We still have the best record in the league, we still have an excellent team. Maybe a beating will be good for us down the strerch. This game was always more of a must-win for the Niners than the Eagles. Man up, congratulate SF for the win, they earned it. On to next week.

Question- Is our defense at a personnel and schematic disadvantage if they don't make a stop on first down?
