They should probably just bring in Reich bc the time is now. The eagles are lucky to only have 2 losses considering how bad the defense is and offense has been playing.

I think this would be the most logical move, Reich may not want to come back though next year

The dude is making 25K a day for 3 years and doesn't have to lift a finger

Yes, defense is the reason we lost today, but I don't know if I can solely place that on Desai

Going into the season, my greatest concern was our LB's....well, look where we are, we just have no answer for the middle of the field

Never had anything to fear. But show a little class. He may have been seriously hurt and you’re dancing about it?

Oh I agree, but what are we gonna do about it. They don’t care. They kicked our arse like they said they would. In fact, they’re probably shocked at how easy it was.

Not at all...and the defense has actually been this bad all season....we all knew (at least, some of us did) that it would catch up with us....

San Fran talked smack and came in our house and b*tch slapped us around....like a pimp who didn't get his money....

Yup.. the d is weak and just been saved by drops. Bit them this week and it will likely again next week.

We can't blame the refs because we've seen it go in the Eagles' favor too. That's a cop out. The Birds just flat out sucked today. Out played and out coached.

Nah…we haven’t seen it go THAT much in the Eagles favor.  Not even close.  Not that it excuses the defensive performance or usual piss poor offensive playcalling.

It’s really sad how the Eagles came out on fire and just crapped the bed after. Like you had all the momentum and let one td ruin it?

This was San Frans premature Super Bowl. We got them right where we want them for the playoffs:) They shot their load today and showed every thing.

Several bad ones today. But everyone will just say they hit a taste of their own medicine.

I think it’s more they missed the opportunities when they kicked FGs. That was when we needed to cash in.

Christian Elliss could be as proud as he likes, he'd still be no damn good as a starting Linebacker. Our defense has a big hole in the middle, and it was clear once they let Edwards walk. We drafted Nolan Smith to play 3 snaps a game.

Yes Nolan Smith can't get on the field, as a 1st round pick.  You can't call him a bust yet but you can start thinking he may be one.  Needs to step way up by the opener next year

Context does, indeed, matter. In this case, we came through a hell of a stretch with one loss in a period many fans would have taken a .500 record. We still have the best record in the league after playing several heavy hitters back to back to back. That's why I am chliled about the loss.

They get bent over by the Cowboys then I think your perspective goes down.

This to me is luck running out for the Eagles when they were inches away from several losses already.

To have aspirations for a Super Bowl a day like today cannot happen but many of us have been saying this Eagles team does not pass the eye test.....today is exactly what we were talking about.

Agreed... Beat Dallas and Seattle and we're in business

Before the Gauntlet started it was an 8 game stretch.  The Eagles are now 5-1 during that run with 2 more games to go (Dal/Sea).   There's still a chance to finish 7-1 down this tough stretch.  I'll take it.  I was expecting a better performance today but Defense clearly struggled coming off that long game against Buffalo.   Offense also left some TD's out there too.   The only way we will see them again is in the Playoffs.  As for now, it's still win the Division and get the Bye Week.  The Eagles are still one game up with 5 to go.   San Fran got us with this one but they didn't win the Conference today.  That's why I said flush it.   Move on.   Focus on Sweeping Dallas.

Every year since we won the super bowl the defensive philosophy has been to rush rush rush, play off secondary and hope the offense scores enough. How long can that last? It was exposed big time today.

I agree. Our pass defense has sucked ever since. It has not mattered what has changed in regards to players or coaches. The secondary is always soft.

Our Eagles were exposed on both sides of the ball. Our Coordinators are not getting better, They're BOTH still dumb men. Howie didn't do enough to upgrade the roster where we needed it most in the back 7 on defense.

What we saw in fits and starts that was covered up by narrow wins came to the forefront. Our defense is BAD. They're not good, they're bad. The D-line has talent but the LBers  don't even exist and the secondary is average on a good day.

On offense, the OC is stupid and Hurts isn't progressing as a pocket passer. He drops back, doesn't see the whole field and then panics and runs into defenders. He needs a real QB coach that'll challenge him. He also needs a real OC who will build the offense around his strengths without it only being about him.

What a beat down.

Eagles lost: Bad coaching offensive and defensive. Coaches can't adjust to the situation.

Entire defensive team. Defensive line was non existed. Couldn't get to the QB.

Defensive backs non existed the entire season.

Offense:  Hurts stood in the backfield like a statue. He was never a dual threat QB today.

Desperately need that bye. Would be nice if they can sit guys in the last game too

Exactly....the entire season...someone was just smart enough to expose it and here we are....

When the game started today I was actually taken back by the aggressiveness of the defense.

It wasn't that passive soft approach...but then suddenly that all went away and they went full bishmode again.

I think we need to still use a RB to chip an edge rusher before going out for a pass. While the line held up , it felt like the pocket was too small for his comfort.

He was able to roll out effectively in those situations and I lost count of the amount of times Hurts was waving for someone to break open. Getting Goedert back will be huge in these situations because he can exploit the soft spots.

The 49'ers wanted to take away Hurts ability to run, they were happy to sit in zone and not give up chunk plays with his legs.

I had a feeling that good start would be short lived. And it really wasnt that good of a start cause they only came up with 6 points. Then Jalen became his own worst enemy for the next 3 possessions and the D became less aggressive every series until the clock expired. They have yet to play a complete game.., or a complete quarter or half for that matter.

I’d see if you can convert him to MIKE LB. We need one.

Yes! Different game when We get Goedert back too

I need to people to understand. Even if the Eagles got that "missed" dpi call on Quez. That wouldn't have changed the outcome of this game. The Eagles continue to have problems scoring TDs from 20 yds out. In all likelihood, they were just as likely to stall out (FG) as they were to score (TD). The way SF easily figured out our LBs. Everything opened. Tail tucked tonight fellas.

This team STILL can't play 4 quarters of football. They got away with it too many times this year. That's not going to work in the playoffs. That's on the coaches AND players. Something has to change.
