SF scored on 5 straight drives??  LOL

So many here are terribly upset over this loss when you should have seen it coming.  Beat Dallas next week and all is well with the world.  Plus, its only a game I ptty you all that this has ruined your night or week.

Our Eagles were exposed on both sides of the ball. Our Coordinators are not getting better, They're BOTH still dumb men. Howie didn't do enough to upgrade the roster where we needed it most in the back 7 on defense.

What we saw in fits and starts that was covered up by narrow wins came to the forefront. Our defense is BAD. They're not good, they're bad. The D-line has talent but the LBers  don't even exist and the secondary is average on a good day.

On offense, the OC is stupid and Hurts isn't progressing as a pocket passer. He drops back, doesn't see the whole field and then panics and runs into defenders. He needs a real QB coach that'll challenge him. He also needs a real OC who will build the offense around his strengths without it only being about him.

Gotta put blame on the players at some point costly penalties and unnecessarily taken sacks changed the game.

Yes! Different game when We get Goedert back too

Goeddert doesn’t play defense.

Yeah they weren't beating both San Fran and Dallas in this run. Better to beat Dallas and Seattle IMO. Time for them to step it up. They should be embarrassed and pissed for next week.

The best D is a good O

Anyone not concerned after that is just trying to convince themselves.

He helps in the Redzone and the run game. Yes that would help the defense.

Concerned about what? Not making the playoffs?  They just have to make it, and then its a different game.  They are still a top 3 team in the NFC, or as one has said they are now the worst 10-2 team ever

Yes Nolan Smith can't get on the field, as a 1st round pick.  You can't call him a bust yet but you can start thinking he may be one.  Needs to step way up by the opener next year

I’d see if you can convert him to MIKE LB. We need one.

He's got to get a little more heft to me. I know he's quoted as Reddick like coming out. He's had an unusually quiet rookie year.

I wonder about a switch to MIKE. I want to see what this kid has playing his natural spot 1st. We need a playmaker.

Exactly, that game was just about what I expected and unfortunately, I think next week is going to be about the same.

Yup. We’re a distant 2nd. They exposed a ton of issues with our team while simultaneously showing how much better of a team they are.

I need to people to understand. Even if the Eagles got that "missed" dpi call on Quez. That wouldn't have changed the outcome of this game. The Eagles continue to have problems scoring TDs from 20 yds out. In all likelihood, they were just as likely to stall out (FG) as they were to score (TD). The way SF easily figured out our LBs. Everything opened. Tail tucked tonight fellas.

They were allowed to hold and interfere with wrs alllll game. Not just Quez

Sorry people, but whatever excuses some of you may make, good teams don’t lose this badly in big games like this. I’d take a 3 or 7 point loss and accept this, but not an absolute drubbing. Especially against a team that trashed you all off season up until today. Especially in your own house. We’re a good team, but we’re just not as good as them. There’s no excuses. We have a decent team, but we have some significant flaws which were exposed badly today. We still haven’t played a complete game at all, all season. I don’t know if we can play a complete game cause it’s always something when you have too many question marks both with players and with coaching. No cohesion all year, but somehow we overcame all that……until today.  We’re making the playoffs, but at this point that’s all I can say. The next two games will test us and our potential fragility even further.
As of now, all roads go through SF as long as they stay healthy. And as of now, we’re just a good team who got their lights punched out real badly and are a distant 2nd place.

Sure they do, The Chiefs blew out the 49ers last year 44-23.

They should be 10-5, got so very lucky with the last 3 wins but the D philosophy of hope the opposing offense screws up worked. Hope we change our philosophy.

9’ers are more experienced and significantly better than they were last season.

So were we though, we just don't play aggressive to take advantage.

I said this in another thread. Nolan Smith is not a natural edge rusher. He had 12.5 sacks in 4 years at Georgia. Elite pass rushers get that in a season. Put him at off the ball LB and let him hunt ball carriers. We're wasting him as an edge rusher.

Swift had 6 carries?????

OMFG.

I blame them too. Some of them can't get better than they are though. Upgrades are needed at many positions and much better coordinators are a must. Both of these guys should still be assistant coaches learning their craft.

When the game started today I was actually taken back by the aggressiveness of the defense.

It wasn't that passive soft approach...but then suddenly that all went away and they went full bishmode again.

I know the Niners were on fire but the drastic change in scheme was jarring. Desai had a hand in that.

Concerned about what Dallas are going to do next week.

But it happens. The Eagles still control their own destiny. Win next week and we still have an excellent chance at being the #1 seed. Even if we lose, we should still win the division. Dallas has Detroit, Miami and Buffalo.

The Eagles really needed a running game today 😞

The game pretty much turned when the Eagles stopped running the ball.

Several bad ones today. But everyone will just say they hit a taste of their own medicine.

Yeah true, if we get anything remotely favorable other teams fans cry about officiating, then if the Eagles get completely robbed it’s just Eagle fans whining.  I mean how did Greg Olsen keep a straight face the 5-6 times tonight he showed a replay of an Eagles receiver getting tackled and calling it "good coverage” 😂😂
