Our OC is a knucklehead. Nick needs to tap him on the shoulder every now and then to remind him that we have a really good running game.

Sirianni is the knucklehead he needs to take charge. This was bound to happen. They were probably exhausted from an OT game they didn’t have to play due to turnovers and a slow start.

Speaking in general terms. The saints blew out the buccaneers and the niners blew out the rams the years both teams went to the SB beating both teams to get there(both teams were swept in reg season ). So beating blown out isn’t a death sentence to the season.

I can’t say I didn’t see a loss coming but not like this especially since there were 0 turnovers. They’re gonna have to go nuclear and bring in Reich to try to salvage this offense bc nothing can be done talent wise to fix the defense.

They are going to have to win out but they have tough road games in Dallas and Seattle. I guess(?) fortunately the Arizona game is in Philly.

Facts.... regular season is an after thought once the playoffs commence.

Am I concerned, sure. This team is far from perfect.

Would I have taken 3-1 in a slate of Cowboys, Chiefs, Bills and 49ers four weeks ago. Absolutely.

This game limits our room for error going forward, and there are a few things they need to quickly find answers for which have been recurring all year and they are yet to solve.

So yeah I mean the record absolutely. I just feel like this game and the manner of it is a real warning sign.

They are not a good tackling team. Sydney Brwn continue to not wrap up. Thinking he can just hit hard. Blankenship bounces off rushers.

That’s why I would’ve had to keep TJ over Bradberry, sad to say

Sid Jalen Carter even play today?

I have Sirianni hands all on this game plan tonight, and BJ as the fall guy

TJ?

I wish the tv broadcast showed how covered our wr were!  Shouting at the tv waiting for Hurts to throw a ball for 8 seconds is frustrating.

TJ Edwards.

Agreed, I think we're compartmentalzing individual games and not looking at the big picture

Not gonna lie, when I saw our schedule I had us marked 1-3 during that stretch

It’s not a death sentence, but if you have to go through SF in a Conference title game in SF, as long as SF is healthy, there’s no way the Eagles or any other team is winning there against them. They’re clearly a better team and with very few flaws.

Well I hope the wrs learn to not expect much from the refs in Dallas…got to play through that.

I don’t disagree the next  holding clip boards are the bigger problem.

But that’s why you play the game. While the NFCCG was in LA the niners looked poised to get to SB having swept season series and ended up losing a close one.

Sirianni, Siriann, Sirianni…come claim this mess

Yup. We’re a distant 2nd. They exposed a ton of issues with our team while simultaneously showing how much better of a team they are.

Where they better is play calling....sorta.  It's not so much play calling as it is plays overall, there was a lot of misdirection plays run by the 9ers, the Eagles don't even have those sorta plays in their playbook.  As I've been saying all year long, the Eagles offense is elementary.

Don't get me wrong I agree. Its all about how they respond. But trying to look at it from a glass half full perspective:

  • We go away from the run game for too long of stretches. Hopefully that's something the coaches identify and correct
  • Goedert (or if it was Smith or Brown) being out is massive for this O. Our pass game is built 90% around those 3 without much depth behind them (yes its a serious injury risk), that one totally changes the effectiveness of this O
  • Hurts is still clearly limited running. What is the injury - can it come right for the playoffs? That would add a major dynamic to this O
  • On D, LB is clear weak spot and we were down both starters. Lets hope a bit of rest and Desai can work some magic with his scheme
  • Can a signing like Leonard, Ertz, Amos effectively plug a minor hole on the roster?

I think not having Goedert really hurt us down in the redzone...there was no one open.

IDK, Hurts liked holding the ball and killing some drives as well

DeSai has only so much to work with. but you really need to be more aggressive and take some risks if that’s the case. Blitz more, press more etc. Playing 10 yards off or in a soft zone when you have a team backed up makes no sense, but DeSai became increasingly soft with our D after we went up by 6. As for BJ and Siri, they wanted to pass, pass, pass and abandoned the run completely    That didn’t work out well. They never learn their listen until later, or in this case, never.

On the job training with BJ is not working out so well. It’s like getting a school bus driver to run an F1 car.

To be fair they didn't expose anything. Teams have been doing the same ISH to this defense all season. The offense has looked a mess all season too and continues to be their own worst enemy.

The only difference this week is we lost.

Saw two slants gash the niners tonight. Both quick passes that took no time at all. Next thing you know offense goes back to 6 step drops and deep routes on literally every play. Running the football is basic football IQ as well. I think BJ hates it to be honest.

Brian Johnson sucks as a playcaller and his designs haven't been much better. Sad thing is the record is going to cover all this up and we will not have any coaching changes unless some other team is dumb enough to poach this guy after the season.

I’ll just say, it’s the same thing as with Swartz…you don’t have the personnel for pressing…the secondary is slower and smaller.

Here’s the thing… We’ve said this all freaking year so why would they suddenly correct that?

As bad as Blankenship can be, he’s asked to save a lot of TDs

Are you watching the beating we’re taking against SF in our house!?!?  I’ll concede if any important parts for SF are unable to play in the playoffs we may stand a chance, but you’re nuts to think a healthy SF in the playoffs can be beaten by us or any other team in their house.

We beat the Dolphins, Cowboys, Chiefs, and Bills. Had I asked you the outcome of those games before the season, you’d have given us at least one loss.
