Duly noted but my point stands: the defense has been atrocious not just this entire season but for awhile now. No corners, no LB'ers and the bend but dont break philosophy is why teams almost ALWAYS convert on 3rd and longs....

It's not doom and gloom, its actually seeing things for what they actually are and this defense as a whole is HORRIBLE.....you won't make it far that way unless the offense can make up for it....

But my other point stands as well....if they do well in Dallas, I will come back to this thread and eat crow.....count on it....

Doubtful, given that by then it will probably be locked. 😄

There is a HUGE difference between panicking and being realistic after what we have seen all season long. They have played like this and its been a normal ;bend but don't break' philosophy forever now.....but tell you what....let's revisit this in exactly one week and if they are fresher, like you say, I will GLADLY eat crow here in front of everybody......

These promises are horseshit though, the guy you're replying to promised to stop being negative in game threads last week and he didn't even break the first half. Just accept your a big old Eeyore floating round the forum and own it.

They looked like a competitive team that still had a chance to win those games. I see what you mean but it's been 13 weeks and the Eagles look exactly the same as week 1. Nothing has changed really, don't expect much to change in the next 5 weeks

Its all about health. They were down a starter on both sides of the field and clearly banged up and washed from record snaps the previous game on D. You may not think it matters but rest does matter. They get the Bye and they have a shot. No chance without it. Beat Dallas this week and I'll forget all about this L.

They are not getting the bye

Hurts has been hanging on to the ball for way too long all season.  I don't know if this has to do with the totally predictable play calling or Hurts' checking out of the designed play.  Probably both.  In truth, the O line play has been exemplary.  The fact that they have kept him as clean as they have against these stout pass rushing defenses is astounding.

Agree with what many are saying here, we need a much more robust and creative short game.  That being said, if the problem is Hurts checking out of the designed plays and trying to play hero out there...the play design isn't going to do us much good.

Will be interesting to see how the offense looks next week.  Cowboys are sure to try to mimic SFs approach as much as possible.

We lost to this ?

Like three of the SF touchdowns were due to Morrow missing the first tackle.

Dont think you can have a worse game as a linebacker.

Reminder: This is the guy that everyone raved over because he got a few sacks that one time.

Pretty fair to say that many of the calls are long developing routes relying on the OL to hold up and when it doesn't for Hurts to extend plays. Totally unnecessary when you have this wealth of talent so I can only look at Siri and his play designs and planning that are forced upon his staff. I didn't see not one wheel route or texas route yesterday from the Eagles. We rarely get guys in mismatches. This was staple of Andy Reid's offenses even though he was anti-run the ball when he was in Philly.

Very good point.  There are basic plays that would work that we are not running.  7-12 yard type plays to move the chains.  Get the ball out type stuff.

When did The Eagles play Mahomes last season?🤔

When Mahomes shredded the defense with sub par skill position talent.

Yeah, on a crap field, as both defenses didn't do much of anything in the SB. Last year's defense was definitely good, but this year they're pretty awful due to players leaving and injuries.

Actually, it may be better to get the #2 seed.  I've posted this already.  Yes you don't get the bye but you are still guaranteed two home games assuming you win and Dallas would have to play SF in the Divisional round most likely as Detroit would be the division winner.  You wouldn't see SF until the NFCCG.
