I thought we had something this year. It's evident we don't. So I'll save myself the trouble of following the team for the rest of the season.

And if strange things happen going forward like injury luck to SF or DAL and the Eagles actually get there, I'll be happy they did but I'll also freely admit I completely gave up on them.  I'll come back every now and then to click on the Amazon link, this board deserves it. And I'll be back for the draft, as I do believe we can have a chance next year. I expect plenty of comments roasting me, but I don't care. It's time to throw away any expectations.

10-2 with 5 regular season games left. Just like old bad times ...

People sure have gotten soft.

It's sports, if you can't watch and enjoy because you're afraid of getting your feelings hurt, you have deeper issues that need to be explored.

I agree.  Something has been off all year with this team.  They will likely lose in one of the first 2 rounds of the playoffs.  This isn’t a Super Bowl team.

I think most will agree this isn’t a Super Bowl team. But it can always be worse.

Just means we won’t go 16-1

Philly fans are supposed to be tough. Some of you whiners are anxious scared losers who quit on the team.

A fan is suppose to be a fan "no matter what", not just when everything is perfect.

I mean, it's sports, sometimes you win, sometimes you lose.

it's week 13 and we have the best record in the NFL

1st place and some fans calling it a season. The sky sure falls fast in TATE🤣

I lost all emotional attachment in the Reid era thinking that was the best chance the eagles had of winning the super bowl. Fortunately, that was further helped by them winning in 2017.
While this season isn’t over hopefully it was a reality check to player but mostly ishy coaching. That’s on Sirianni and I don’t have confidence in him.

The team, especially the D, was exhausted coming into the game.  If I were the coach i wouldn't show the game tape to the team.  Would give them 2 days off.

We need to run the ball.  i would not dress Gainwell and would give Penny and Scott carries.  On D we can't get any help at LB till next year so I would add some 5 DL sets, with 3 DTs in the middle, to stop the run.  We need to blitz some and we need to show blitz and back off.  Enough of this soft zone where we don't cover anyone.  Need to add some creativity on offense, some motion.  Hurts drops back and rarely is anyone open and we have 2 pro bowl WRs so something is lacking in the scheme, play design, route trees.  Nick needs to get more involved and pick Frank's brain now that he's unemployed.

Sometimes you have to lose a game like this to wake you up. Look at how hungry SF was today to avenge the Championship game, lets see how they respond the next couple of games. Maybe they won’t get the number 1 seed but they should make the playoffs where anything can happen.

As a follower of the Rams going back to the 70's, I've learnt to not be emotional about something I had no control over, I finally gave up on them do to incompetent personnel decisions of players and coaches.  I'm seeing the same personnel incompetence with the Eagles, hell, they don't even value experienced coaches.

I agree that next year could be their year provided they make the right moves in FA and the draft, that's why I'll continue to follow them so I can point out their deficiencies and make recommendations of who they should pursue.

They act like we lost by 40!

I dunno, im ok with giving this team one more game before throwing in the towel.

If they lose to the Cowboys for the same reasons, ie not running the ball, Hurts doing stupid stuff etc...then im done as well...its just too tiring to watch the same bad coaching and inconsistent play week after week with no improvement.

Bring back Reich

Its week 14 and this team is still trying to "find itself" it seems. Still no identity on offense and the D is always just one injury away from falling apart.

What a baby. One bad result to arguably the best team in the nfl

You´re not alone, I too miss the good old days of getting our asses kicked every week and going 4-12. It´s really awful watching a team that has the best record in the NFL that is likely to get 14 regular season wins and possible HFA, an electrifying QB, a future HoF center, the best RT in the league and arguably the best WR pairing, too.

I´m sick of it all, bring back Chip Kelly, Kevin Kolb, Winston Justice and Hank Baskett! Who´s with me?

To be fair, SF has been calling this team fraudulent and garbage for close to a year now and we backed it up by getting curb stomped at home.

A village idiot could have looked at this schedule and known that we would drop some games in this stretch.  This loss is not surprising, nor was it unexpected.  What has fans teetering on the ledge is the fact that we got blown out at home.

I actually think this might wind up being a good thing.  The pressure is now off SF to beat us.  We also clearly see our weaknesses and how they will exploit them.  I'm not saying that we beat them in the playoffs, but I think that game looks very different than this one.

This team needed to wake up and see what they really were.  A week of pundits picking us apart and SF fans posting celebratory Tik Tok's will be good motivation.
