I still think we're good enough to beat them this season, but we won't be doing it if our defense plays like it did Sunday. Heck, we won't even make it to the nfccg if our defense can't get its act together.

I'm happy to leave all the bravado and comparisons to them.  We went to the SB and they didn't.  Beating us yesterday is meaningless unless they can do it when it counts. 

Saw this pointed out on Twitter as well.

2008 regular season Eagles beat Cardinals 48-20 blowout win.  In the playoffs, Cardinals beat Eagles 32-25.  Regular season is neat, what matters is the playoffs.

 

Best record in the league? Check.
MVP candidate QB? Check.
Team relatively health with injured star TE coming back? Check.
Will be favored to win 4 of their final 5 games? Check.
One entirely predictable tough loss in a brutal string of games? Check.

TATE: It's over. I'm out. Check.

You can't win 'em all, kids. This loss was about as surprising as the sun rising in the east. 

They just had an exhausting run of playing very good teams and are 3-1 in that rough stretch... and you are giving up on them?? Have at it- I'm NOT. Go Birds!!

You win some and you lose some. Nobody is immune to losses.

 

Learn from it and move on. Hopefully, Desai learned you have to move good QB's off their spot instead of letting them pick you apart. Also, we didn't have good answers for their YAC concepts. I'm not a fan of Johnson either, we have a ton of talent on offense and they need to do a better job of taking the pressure off Hurts to carry the team.
