It's very sad, but perhaps will nudge the universities to become politically agnostic places of learning vs what they have turned into in the past 10-15 years. If bright students (and their fees) go elsewhere because it will affect their job prospects and donations follow the same path, Ivy league education won't knock the down same doors down it does today. They'll just be like any other person who didn't get to go to the smart university and be judged on who they are. Which is no bad thing
May 7, 20241 yr Is it really surprising that the Ivies attract some folks who rock the boat? Doesn’t surprise me a bit. The fact that they’re wired different is how they ended up there in the first place. John Doe who just wants to smoke weed and hang out with his friends in high school isn’t gonna go to Brown…

Which is no bad thing I don't remember any of this BS back in the late 90s when I was in school. Only concept I had of this was from PCU. Then again: 1) Our school was hyper focused at churning out professionals (Required courses to teach you resume and cover letter writing, co op program, etc) vs gender studies, english majors, etc 2) I spent most of my time there in an altered state of consciousness

May 7, 20241 yr I remember the first protest I ever saw in college. They had just decided to raise tuition and some kids were protesting on the Quad. This was at a private university mind you…

May 7, 20241 yr Yes drinking beer and protesting tuition hikes are the same thing as supporting a terrorist group by destroying property and harassing innocent people.
May 7, 20241 yr Chanting NSDAP slogans, supporting terrorists, destroying property, and using physical intimidation toward fellow students based solely on their religion...just normal college kid stuff. @Dave Moss you continually manage to drag the intelligence level down in a forum where people like Procus and KZ post regularly. That's some talent.
