Chanting NSDAP slogans, supporting terrorists, destroying property, and using physical intimidation toward fellow students based solely on their religion...just normal college kid stuff. @Dave Moss you continually manage to drag the intelligence level down in a forum where people like Procus and KZ post regularly. That's some talent.

I don’t agree with everything the protesters do or say.  I’m also not out there protesting fwiw…

Also, I don’t agree with everything the U.S. government does despite being an American.

You're pretty active letting others know what you don't agree with when it comes to the U.S. Govt yet the cat has your tongue when it comes to the protesters.

You think I support harassing random students who may or not be Jewish?  I don’t know how much it’s happening, but that’s pretty bad if true.  I’d need more details on the alleged confrontations I guess.

btw, I can’t usually detect someone’s religion or political beliefs (unless they’re wearing a certain red cap).

I mean, there are numerous videos dude. Like them blocking access to the library at UCLA to Jewish students. Verbal harassment. Physical harassment. Most of these protests have people acting abhorrently at a minimum, and unlawfully at worst.

People are free to protest. And to be idiots. One of the points of being young is being an idiot. But when you infringe on the rights of others, harass people and attack them - you've crossed the line. Taking over large parts of campus and making it inaccessible to people you don't like isn't protected.

No, I don't think you support that sort of stuff.  However, you are very consistent not to acknowledge that type of behavior in discussions in here about the protests, how they impact others, etc.

I wonder if @d**kcheese_ballounknot could tell us exactly when James Carlson matriculated to Columbia

Exactly.  They think that they have the right to commit any crime they choose and be protected because they're "protesting"

Drugs, Alcohol and Sex.  How did we move away from the three pillars of the college experience?

Here’s the e-mail I got.  I think most folks in my community thought the university reaction was overkill.  But I get it…

Truly traumatizing, I hope you immediately went out front back and sparked up a doobie to minimize the pain.

I don't remember any of this BS back in the late 90s when I was in school.  Only concept I had of this was from PCU.  Then again:

1) Our school was hyper focused at churning out professionals (Required courses to teach you resume and cover letter writing, co op program, etc) vs gender studies, english majors, etc

2) I spent most of my time there in an altered state of consciousness

Me neither.  The most active my uni got was something called the LGB community who leafleted a lot and were ignored. There was nothing like Gender Studies being taught, other than the opposite sex at the student union and local night clubs 😆

Penn students placed on mandatory leave speak out
The governor's statements came as six student protesters were placed on mandatory temporary leaves of absence, according to Penn.

The students spoke with Action News right after they found out and said at least one of them would not be able to attend graduation. Another is an international student from the Philippines who said she's now locked out of her dorm and that their campus IDs no longer work.

They're calling the lockout illegal under municipal law.

"I've been evicted from my student housing so my Penn card no longer works to get me in the building. A few community members offered to house me in the meantime, but we'll continue to be here," said student protester Eliana Atienza.

"I believe that the character we demonstrate within this encampment will always be more valuable to me and more worthwhile than the risks that we face in standing up for those values," added fellow student protester Emma Herdon.

The six who are currently restricted from campus facilities and events say they only have access to health care facilities on campus.

"This is not a permanent process but it is indicative of the harshness and cruelty of the university's demands," said student protester Sonya Stacia.

"These actions are a result of the University's continuing response to the unauthorized encampment on College Green," a statement from the university said.
