Then vermeil came and turned it all around. But i will never forget how sick i felt watching the eagle offense introduced at 1980 super bowl. At that time they ran out onto the field and stopped for a tv close up. Vermeil liost that game before it was ever played. He had curfew at 8 at night. The players were alone in their rooms thinking about the game while the raiders were lighting up new orleans till late at night. When they introduced guy morris our center he looked like he was about to swallow his own tongue. The team was so tight they couldnt move. On one of first plays jaws looked ay raider lb ted hendricks alone in the flat and just threw him the ball. First time i ever knew the game was over during the player intros

No, it was Buddy Ryan that came in after Campbell. Marion Campbell was a Coordinator under Vermeil.

Yes you are correct Don.  I wasn't stating the timeline on the coaches.  Vermeil came in and turned the franchise around after 15 years of bad football

What happened to the run defense? I realize they have some injuries at LB but their run defense has been horrible since the SF game.

You answered your own question. Since Morrow took over as the main LB we are 1-4 and probably last in the NFL defending the run. 

Hurts is part of the problem. Not just the D, which sucks. The guy panics, doesn’t read well, underthrows, and is not a QB. Even Stanford would have done better throwing to the receivers that we have. I remember all the hype about with Goddard and Smith and Brown, and Swift , no one would be able to defend us. YEAH, except any better team and every team at years end
